An area of ​​the Valera cemetery was granted free of charge to the Muslim community. Islam prohibits burials in areas with those who do not belong to the same faith. An entire area of ​​the Valera cemetery will be given free of charge to the Muslim community of Parma and its province.
The gift comes from the council led by the former grillino Federico Pizzarotti That, with this agreement, aims to meet the diktat of the rIslamic religion which prevents its faithful from burials in areas with those who do not belong to the same faith.

Today, as reported Republic of Parma, the Municipality led by Pizzarotti has reached an agreement with the Islamic community in which it sells them, free of charge, an entire area of graveyard of Valera. All the management rules were also written down in the agreement, including the maintenance costs of the area borne by the Muslim community and any costs burial for the poor.

According to what is reported by the Republic of Parma, religious ceremonies will be held in mosque of Parma and the province and the bodies will then be taken to the cemetery where they will face Mecca.
