Here is the note with which the Municipality of Treviso announced its farewell to the Ready network: “Membership of RE.A.DY was defined in 2014 bringing a series of commitments and binding interventions, also from an administrative point of view, for the Municipality of Treviso for dissemination - also in schools – of relevant topics, among other things, to the gender world.
The current Administration, in the orbit of an overall review of the complex of municipal policies - e, in general, relating to issues of social inclusion, of equal opportunities and non-discrimination for a fair balance of initiatives to protect the various requests - in fact it intends to focus on the family and school as adequate and sufficient tools to transmit the values ​​of respect and gender diversity.
The Veneto Region, Furthermore, already guarantees - through qualified bodies - legal protection against
discriminations. With regional law of 24 December 2013 n. 37 in fact, the regional guarantor of human rights was established, to which the functions of information and assistance activities to victims of acts of discrimination have been attributed, reporting violations and collecting data of interest on phenomena relating to discrimination, in collaboration with the competent structures of the Region”.
