Even at the last moment, M5S and Lega have reached an agreement for the formation of a political government which determines an essential turning point: this is the first real victory of the sovereignist forces. First of all, towards Europe: in a Union that, after all, it had managed to ensure its balance even in the presence of anti-European forces, a "sovereignist" Italy is now arriving, led by an alliance between the two main “national-popular” forces. Elsewhere, we had had defeats: despite Le Pen's good electoral result, Macron's France prevailed, as well as in Germany, despite the nationalist exploit, the system has regrouped. Ecco, the Italian novelty: the “system” was unable to regroup, to absorb and neutralize the oppositions that crossed it. Right, everyone tried in every way: Berlusconi thinking of a center-right government that would find the support of the "responsible" in parliament, the Democratic Party hoping for the President's government, Mattarella with his hypothesis of a "neutral government". But in the end Lega and M5S won: they will govern, Together, after Berlusconi's step aside. As it was in the nature of things from the beginning.
But the turning point is not only given by the recovery of external sovereignty, towards Europe. It is also a turning point within the country, which reunites – perhaps for the first time in many years – the North with the South. The North where the League triumphed, allies itself with the Five Star South. And this fourth war of independence was won, now the "Italians" will finally be made? The question is obligatory, since we cannot know how things will turn out. Of course it is, but, that Italy turns out to be the new laboratory of "sovereignism", the first European country where the turning point was successful and established itself against the old system, which this time really seems on the verge of finally collapsing.
The words of the President of the Republic leave us perplexed, who from Fiesole - on the occasion of the conference The State of the Union - launches a completely inappropriate warning: “sovereignism is unworkable” and he himself says so, having sworn on the Constitution which makes sovereignty the cornerstone of the Republic. “Everyone knows that none of the big challenges, to which our continent is exposed today, can be addressed by any member country of the Union, taken individually", exclaimed the Head of State. Eh no, dear President and with all due respect, global challenges can be faced together if everyone's diversity is respected together, by not stepping on them. The European Union is not Europe, it is just a tyrannical construction that bases its existence on the protection of businessmen, financiers, and bureaucrats, to the detriment of the fundamental rights enshrined in each of the Constitutions of the Member States. The President goes even further when he speaks of a "sovereignist narrative ready to propose solutions that are as seductive as they are impracticable, certain, however, of being able to blame its impracticability on the Union". Mattarella was a judge of the Constitutional Court and knows perfectly well that it is not the sovereignist narrative that is on the wrong side of history, but rather the pro-European and globalist vulgate that has dismembered republican sovereignty in exchange for economic and social rubble. But then the admission: “Many fellow European citizens have stopped thinking that Europe can solve – immediately or in the future – their problems. They increasingly see the Brussels institutions as an advantageous interlocutor, taking refuge in a purely domestic horizon […]”. It is certainly not the fault of the people if they see Brussels as a structure unsuitable for solving citizens' problems. Imposing limitations and parameters that have no connection with reality means ignoring the needs of people. If the EU created the euro, by decoupling it from a central bank that would act as an unlimited lender of last resort, it is certainly not the fault of the European peoples, who, if anything, are still paying the consequences today. You can recover your sovereignty, also remove “European constraints” from our Constitution. We hope that the new government moves in this direction.
