Red Istria, insults against the film about the foibe. Here are all the cinemas where it is showing
As per the script, they arrived on the film's Facebook page Red Land-Rosso Istria the accusations against the Italian-Argentine director Maximiliano Hernando Bruno: “You are a fascist, I hope you end up like Cristicchi...". In short, the accusation is always the same: revisionism. As if all historical research were not continuous revision. A revision against which the voice of ideological denialism always raises. The film is in fact "wrong" in telling the tragedy of the foibe and in particular the sad fate of Norma Cossetto, raped by a group of partisans, tortured and then thrown into the Surani foiba. His body was found in 1943 by the Pula fire brigade. Giuseppe Comand, 98 years, he is the only one of those firefighters still alive and Future he recently said that «Norma was almost sitting down, his back leaning against the rock wall, eyes open towards the entrance to the Foiba".

A page told in the film with the sensitivity that is paid to tragedies, without ever lapsing into propaganda. Nevertheless, it seems not enough for those who would like this page to be definitively torn from the collective memory of Italy.
The director does not comment on the insults and threats received. The same ones that Simone Cristicchi had to endure, guilty, him too, to have brought on stage with the show Warehouse 18 the drama of the Istrian exiles. The film is scheduled to hit theaters on 15 November. «I'm tired of being asked why I made this film» declares Maximiliano Hernando Bruno, «It seems that we need a reason to tell this story. The real question should be why no one had done this until now. Cinema is a very powerful medium, he must give voice to these death cries and shout along with them. Making this film wasn't a choice, but a duty". Now the answer is up to the public: on the Red Land-Rosso Istria Facebook page the poster has already been published with the list of cinemas where it will be possible to see the film from 15 November.

  • Ah,beh, right ! if the atrocities of the communists are shown - the beast becomes a disgrace !
The great thing is that in this nation, that is considered civil, they have , just a few years ago, kicked the hearse carrying Priebke's body, imprisoned by Minister Flick(after the Jewish hysterical reaction) after he was acquitted by the Military Tribunal. It was an unworthy scene that the weekly Panorama published as news without any other than positive comment…I canceled my subscription immediately. After a few years the magazine collapsed and the then editor must have ended up somewhere else or doing some other job. I'm happy about it, suits him well !

  • Well done Mardunolbo !
And it is with films like these that we see who the communists are, not with those of pepoonen and don camillo.
