Like every month, on Friday, some volunteers from the Association Ora et Labora in Defense of Life they testify and pray outside the San Gerardo hospital in Monza, having to perform abortions (as in many other Italian cities). We note with our regret, That even if the general strike of doctors is underway (Friday 23 November), abortions are still performed as they are considered "urgent" interventions. What is so urgent about killing a child in the womb and injuring its mother for life is not known. (considering outliving your child, when you are aware of having suppressed it, it is an atrocious punishment). Pregnancy is not a disease, nor is abortion a cure, a child is never a mistake to be remedied with abortion, but a gift that God entrusts to his parents and to each of us, so that we can take care of it, therefore a hospital must be the place to be born and not to be killed in the womb by hitmen in white coats.

Paradoxically, on strike days, our hospitals do not treat the sick, but healthy people are killed through abortion and all this at the expense of the taxpayer, who becomes "accomplice", in spite of himself. If you need to have any medical tests, to protect your health and therefore your life, you have to wait months and sometimes years before having the appointment and you have to pay the ticket, if you want to abort instead, so you don't choose life, Your appointment will be scheduled within a few days and the service is free. Let us remember that every human being has value in himself, especially the child in the mother's womb, because created in the image of God, in whose eyes it is so precious, the weaker it appears to man's gaze. It is important to remember what Pope Benedict XVI said in one of his famous speeches: «The gaze I have on the other decides my humanity... this gaze on the other preserves the truth and dignity of man».
Let us not forget that the defense of unborn life is intimately linked to the defense of any other human right, we must therefore prepare ourselves for a new cultural challenge, a new battle for the defense of these smaller and defenseless brothers of ours threatened by abortion. Sooner or later, someone will ask us: “Where is your brother?” And what will we answer?
