Verona: "L'Islam alla conquista dell'Europa, nella storia e nell'attualità"

TRADITION IN VERONA TO COMMEMORATE LEPANTO
Of Lucia Rezzonico

“When I read that my city councilor friends Andrea Bacciga e Alberto Zelger, with whom I recently presented my first book, they were the promoters, together with Mayor Federico Sboarina of a motion that wants to declare Verona as the “Father of Life”, making a concrete commitment, with public funds towards those who discourage abortion and help save children, my heart fills with joy.
E’ a hymn to Life, which presents our city at next year's World Meeting with a wonderful business card: the Europe we would like, founded on the family, which is only one, and is made up of a mother and a father” – he reacts like this Matthew Castagna, Head of the Catholic Club “Christ the King-Tradition”, after the vote of the pro-life motion by an overwhelming majority of the Verona City Council (21 yes and only 6 no. Curious note: PD group leader Carla Padovani voted yes).

We thank you – continues Matteo Castagna on behalf of Catholic traditionalists – our ancestors, who in these days were preparing to save the Families from which we descend, during the glorious battle of Lepanto 7 October of 1571, won, despite the numerical inferiority, through the intercession of Our Lady of the Rosary, against the Islamic invader.
He was great at the time Pope Saint Pius V called the Holy League and the Holy Crusade to save Europe and our civilization, otherwise today we would all be in Piazza Santa Anastasia with our butts in the air, forced to praise Allah and in place of the Rengo there would be a minaret.
That's why we are happy, as traditionalist Catholics, to accept the invitation to participate in tonight's conference at the Hotel Due Torri in Piazza S. Anastasia organized by’ On. Vito Comencini (League) with the historian Prof. Roberto De Mattei and the friend Abbondio Dal Bon, who will talk about the relevance of that experience through similarities with our days, of this dark age. Incredibly, whoever should be the successor of Saint Pius V says he welcomes the old enemy, while it is the League (maybe not Santa, but always League…) which slows down the invasion with disruptive but peaceful methods”.
In the end, Castagna concludes: “Like every year, for many years, we usually thank Our Lady with a prayer initiative. Sunday 7 October at 18.00 we will recite the Holy Rosary in Latin and attend the traditional Holy Mass, said of S. Pius V, the very Holy Pope of Lepanto who codified it, which will be celebrated by an integralist Catholic priest of the Mater Boni Consilii Institute in a privately owned church”.
On Sunday evening there will also be a public initiative by the’Fortezza Europa Political Association, that we share and support.

  • Dear Mrs Lucia,
eye, Please, not to forget that Islam is an offshoot of the anti-Catholic world (that is, anti-Christian), and it arises from the same branch of Judaism.
Let us guard against the risk of becoming conservatives who ONLY see the Muslim invasion (right, to fight, but at the same time fighting Talmudism, otherwise we will end up badly).

    • Dear Mr. Antonio Diano, in the article I, as a journalist, I report the words of Matteo Castagna, our manager, on the motion that prevents abortion and then I talk about the anniversary of Lepanto. Personally, I don't think that in this specific case a profession of anti-Judaism was necessary, since I was talking about an anniversary that concerned the Islamic invasion.
Furthermore, I don't think that every time we talk about Islam, one must make a profession of anti-Judaism in order not to risk it “to be conservative”. The location of “Christ the King”, expressed several times, also in Castagna's book, is more than clear about it.
In the end, the fear that you legitimately express because you argue it, It seems a little to me’ “niche”. Lucia Rezzonico

  • Fully agree with Antonio Diano. Islam is the arm, Judaism is the mind. I absolutely do not agree with the centre-right traditionalist Catholics who attack Islam but defend Judaism.

  • Excellent mass sec. Saint Pius V, celebrated by a Catholic priest of the IMBC ! I envy you, being abroad..

  • I agree with Mardunolbo , the true Mass , said by an IMBC priest is something that goes beyond .
Coming from a priest who remains in the conciliar church, it is not the same thing.

  • Very few or we had to fight with equal vigor the peppone of all types. But the Catholics preferred to give up their weapons for the most part , thinking that one could sacrifice one's duty to God to live in peace with them.
Everything will be fine anyway .

  • compromises should be left to politics!
The Christians who fought in Lepanto did not do so for religious freedom.
But why do we let ourselves be fooled by names without considering who hisses them?

  • The human soul of most people is a mixture of evil and stupidity, this is why many allow themselves to be duped …

  • Dear Mrs Rezzonico,
the fear that Mr.Diano , which you recognize to be legitimately expressed because it is argued, it appears a little to her’ niche?
    Long live the niche!!!
    Furthermore:
She doesn't think so “that every time we talk about Islam, one must make a profession of anti-Judaism” ?
But yes, when one professes to be a traditionalist Catholic and knows the activity of the
BILATERAL COMMISSION OF THE DELEGATIONS OF THE GRAND RABBIATE OF ISRAEL AND OF THE S HEAD COMMISSION FOR RELIGIOUS RELATIONS WITH JUDAISM.
commission that since 2002 meets annually alternating in Rome or Jerusalem.
    -.-
How much,Then, to the relevance of the Lepanto experience through similarities with today, I look forward to listening to a replay of that lecture. O, also not, because if you appeal to the crusade of a rosary for : ” the spiritual battle in defense of the human person , of life,of marriage, of the family and religious freedom” I pray on my own behalf and not at the urging of the Holy League of Nations.
    And here I am silent…..

    • Gentile Sig.ra Miri,
I don't belong “to the niche” because when you are exposed publicly you need practical and intelligent measures, without which one comes to the inglorious end of who, so much so that it's a big deal, then it ends up in the pillory and oblivion, with the result of having achieved nothing, if not that we talked about ourselves for a while. I try to stick to the facts. There are unwritten but logical rules, in journalism, which I intend to respect.
If I'm talking about a cooking recipe, It's not like I have to make a list of dishes I don't like at the same time. It would seem absurd. If I talk about Lepanto, of the Holy League and the attempted invasion of Europe by the Turks, I don't have to digress to point out that the Jews also have their theological faults…
Furthermore, the sentence you quoted should not be correct, in my opinion, decontextualized. E’ It is obvious that a spiritual battle is needed to defend what has been written, including religious freedom, understood as the freedom to carry out Catholic proselytism, something that Sharia law, seems to me to prohibit. Ecco, I'm doing you a favor, obvious to who it belongs to “Christ the King”: Talmudic law also prevents religious freedom for Christians.
