The problem of feminicide, just as they painted it, it doesn't exist. Murder exists, which is a very serious action regardless of whether it leads to the death of a man or a woman.
The so-called “feminicide”, which also deserved the introduction of a neologism coined by Maria Marcela Lagarde, it is a mass media phenomenon created ad hoc: we talk insistently about a topic, in order to make people believe that it is a national emergency. And people usually believe it. It's the same trick used with vaccinations: we need to convince Italians of the urgency of introducing mandatory vaccines? We talk several times about people contracting measles or similar…
THE REAL BOUNDARIES OF THE PHENOMENON
In the ProVita columns we talked a lot about feminicide, clarifying the reals (… numeric!) boundaries of the phenomenon and specifying how the number of murders concerned approximately two thirds of men – sometimes even killed by women, my he “maschicidio” it seems to have no media appeal… – and how, at the same time, not all murders committed against women could fall within the scope of the “feminicide” carried out at the violent hands of a partner or ex-partner who does it for reasons related to their sex.
Maybe for many, in doing this, we were insensitive visionaries, not inclined to female quotas. Yet in recent days the Istat numbers have been published, ohibò!, we were right.
Already the UNODC (United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime), as part of the Global Study on Homicide, In the 2005 the women had been killed “solo” il 22,3% of the total e, overall, Italy is among the safest nations for the fairer sex.
Istat data tells us that in 2012 the women victims of murder had been the 30,3%; In the 2013 il 35,7%; In the 2014 il 31,1% and in 2015 il 30,1%. The percentage, however always around a third of the total, it is therefore decreasing. Going into even more detail, In the 2015 the women killed were 156.
THE MOTIVATIONS
If we then look at the reasons behind the murder and who was the perpetrator, it turns out that they can fall into the category of femicide 74 almost. There are many, they absolutely shouldn't be there, but they are a number equal to 15% of the total murders committed in Italy during the year 2015. So why talk so insistently about the phenomenon of femicide?
What we see is a continuous attempt to debase the male figure, portraying her as violent and dangerous, with the intention of damaging the man/woman bond. Divide and conquer, as history has taught us for a few centuries now. A society of lonely people is created, isolate, who don't trust each other. A single person is more “maneuverable”, consume more, but above all it is harmless, he can't do anything impactful.
Faced with this, we need to return to focusing on the family, first and true educational community that helps and supports the citizens of tomorrow to become real men and real women.
