Intanto l’Europa si commuove per Penka, entrata in Bulgaria senza i dopcumenti sanitari che la UE prevede, obbligatoriamente, per ogni animale che entri nell’Unione. Per ogni animale, ma non per ogni uomo.

Il caso è stato denunciato dalla Organizzazione per la protezione animale della Bulgaria, «Four Paws» ed è stato poi ripreso dalla stampa internazionale, in articoli che lamentano l’assurdità delle leggi comunitarie. Su Twitter è nato l’hashtag #savePenka e su Change.org [di Soros] è stata lanciata una petizione per chiedere che l’animale venga liberato.
