Mattarella's no? Between political choices and strong powers

Image results for Mattarella and the powers that beWritten and reported by Marco Milioni
The reasons why the President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella he de facto said no to an executive made up of Lega and M5S with Paolo Savona at the Economy and Giuseppe Conte as Prime Minister they are the subject of a very harsh clash. And they will be for a long time. And as happens in such cases, the reasons for such drastic choices trigger reactions of all kinds: there are insults on the web. There is the harsh and thoughtful criticism of a high-ranking constitutionalist like Massimo Villone, until reaching the j'accuse by Massimo Fini and Ugo Mattei. All this suggests that the stakes are very high.
Now it would be important to be able to understand whether the head of state's niet really only has generic correlations with the need to protect savers or if there is something else underneath. First of all, who are the savers that Mattarella is referring to?? It is Mr. Bianchi and Mrs. Rossi who have put away some BTP? They are the large stakeholders who professionally make profit from the public debt of nations? To try to shed some light on this cave, it is necessary to account for an indiscretion that has been circulating for several hours among the Venetian parliamentarians recently elected between Palazzo Madama and Montecitorio.. An indiscretion according to which people very close to Mattarella would have advised the head of state against allowing a minister considered disinclined to the wishes of large investors in government bonds to set his sights on the chest which at the Ministry of Economy contains one of the best kept and most controversial secrets of recent years: that of derivatives subscribed by the State to guarantee public debt. L'islam conquista Brescia: il parcheggio è "piazza Allah". Here is true secularism…

The mayor inaugurates the renovated space thanks to the sheikhs and unveils the plaque dedicated to the Muslim god
Of Alberto Giannoni
Ghetto neighborhoods, towers prisoners of terrifying degradation, abusive religious centers that are the backdrop to dark events, car parks inaugurated "in the name of Allah".
Even the Lioness of Italy is now afraid. Second city in Lombardy, beautiful and rich, Brescia no longer feels safe. And if the official data confirms the inevitable decline in crimes, 42 one hundred citizens consider the work of the "Lodge" on security to be little or not at all effective. And the game that will open the door of the town hall to the new mayor is being played on this too. In the streets of the small city center you can still perceive the decorum that is a legacy of the old DC councils of times gone by. In the suburbs, at the station, in the long streets transformed into ghettos you can see different films. In public housing blocks, waste flies directly from the windows into the courtyard, to become the meal of pigeons that scratch undisturbed among expanses of garbage and guano. Bivouacs are reported in the station square, annoying and suspicious traffic in the parks.
Meanwhile, more than one in two Brescia residents consider the management and integration of immigrants to be ineffective. And in the eyes of the center-right, insecurity and immigration are one and the same. Data in hand, we understand why. The impact of the new flows is unparalleled, if not in large metropolises. According to Orim, 36 thousand immigrants live in the city, il 18,5% of residents. Passing through via Milan, the incidence of colorful and variously covering veils is impressive. Often little girls or boys wear them. He will have 9-10 years the one who together with her father enters the headquarters of the «Al Noor» association in via Bonardi, the one that the centre-right candidate Paola Vilardi wants to close. Mayor Emilio Del Bono twenty days ago considered it a presumed mosque. A video documented the comings and goings of hundreds of people. We are three kilometers from Piazza Della Loggia. Behind the lowered shutter of the mosque, according to the sign taped on, Arabic courses are held, they do their homework, tax and family assistance is provided. I wonder if Sana's father has ever used it, the young woman who lived in Brescia before being killed in Pakistan: precisely from his father according to the local authorities who arrested him and to whom he confessed everything. Twelve years ago a very similar story, Hina's, 21year old killed by her family for refusing patriarchal impositions. Read More

Le Pen, Farage and Bannon against the stop to the M5S-League government: "It's a coup d'état"

Image results for Quirinale gateIl Front National, the French party led by Marine Le Pen, complaint: in Italy it is a coup d'état. British Eurosceptic leader Nigel Farage uses softer tones, protagonist of the victory in the Brexit referendum two years ago. The message is nevertheless impactful: «The establishment blocks democracy». Closing the circle is US President Donald Trump's former strategist: «Italy's sovereignty has been taken away». The Quirinale's decision is in the sights of sovereignist politicians.
The Front National denounces: coup d'état in Italy
A few hours after the Colle stop to an M5S-League government, after the two political forces had confirmed that they wanted a Eurosceptic economist at the Ministry of Economy, and from the assignment to the former commissioner for the review of public spending Carlo Cottarelli of the task of forming the executive, some exponents of that political current that is defined as "sovereignist" have raised the alarm. «For the first time since the collapse of authoritarian regimes in Europe – we read in a statement released by the Front National, the French party led by Marine Le Pen, circulated in the morning – a European country is faced with a real coup d'état, whose goal is to subvert the objective of the ballot box and institutionally muzzle democracy. Obviously we must see the hand of Brussels behind this coup of force, of financial markets and Germany". Read More

BEHIND THE SCENES/ Between spreads and bank crashes: that phone call from Draghi to Colle…

Mario Draghi (Lapresse)Sergio Mattarella explained directly to Italians why he said no to Paolo Savona for the position of Minister of Economy, evoking the protection of savings.

One cannot doubt the personal and institutional good faith of a President of the Republic like Sergio Mattarella: if he said on live TV that the birth of the Lega-M5S government with Paolo Savona in the Economy would put Italians' savings at risk, we must believe him and respect his choices. This is how a democracy works: Impeachment is fine for a president who betrays his country, not for one who assumes his ultimate responsibilities. And then the final opinion, at the Quirinale, it almost certainly came from the president of the ECB, Mario Draghi: chi, still today, he could have ignored it?

In the constitutional prerogatives of the Head of State there is the ultimate evaluation of what is good for the country: jurists confirm it and long experience says it. The fact remains that for the second time in seven years the Quirinale had to exercise this legitimate authority, but unequivocally exceptional: in both cases under the pressure of the worsening sovereign spread.

The resurgence of the emergency is the first and most important difference between Giorgio Napolitano's decisive intervention in 2011 on the Berlusconi and Mattarella governments last night against the Lega-M5s alliance: because in 2018 Italy is still at risk spread? In between there was the technocratic reformism of Mario Monti and then the five-year government of the Democratic Party: why the debt/GDP ratio remained critical, the former hasn't even been affected and the latter hasn't really been relaunched like elsewhere in Europe?

Constitution (material) antidemocratic

Of Fabio Falchi
Constitution (material) antidemocratic
The care of Alessio Mannino per www.vvox.it
Another (and deeper) point of view. It's that, at least compared to the "Mattarellians" of Italy, but without being aligned with the "anti-mattarellians" regardless, that he can give sine ira ac studio just a scholar, libero, far from academies and cliques, with a robust baggage of references that are not exactly mainstream, and who knows how to argue. This is the case of Fabio Falchi, 52 years, independent researcher who lives in the province of Varese, one of many (but not many) thinkers of an Italy accustomed to bringing thought to the masses, content to see the usual four "opinionists" parade by. In particular, Falchi deals with geopolitical analysis and political philosophy, collaborating on various magazines (especially “Eurasia”) and writing several books (“The inner space of the world”, the two volumes of “Politics and war” and “Community and conflict”, all published by Anteo, and another one is about to come out, which «should be titled “Geo-politically man inhabits”»). Falchi moves in the wake of «non-Marxist socialism, focused on the defense of "differences" and community bonds, as I believe that "being with others" (which can also turn into "being against others", as history shows) is the destiny of man and that consequently we cannot free ourselves, but together". Not exactly the perspective of liberal individualism, In short. Read More

Sin!

THE OPINION
Of Marco Cedolin
Sin!
Source: The Corrosive
I firmly believe that with abortion (very little spontaneous) of the possible Salvini-Di Maio government, Italy has missed a great opportunity to try to raise its head and put a stop to the progressive devastation of the country.
Personally I would never have given my vote to the M5S or the League, the former is too absent from the drama of wild immigration and too condescending towards the EU, the latter pays little attention to poverty and work and lacks any environmental sensitivity.
But in an attempt to create a synthesis between their respective programs, the two political forces had managed to create…
to a sort of contract that all in all convinced me (and I would have gladly voted) because through the intervention of others he made up for everyone's shortcomings. A concrete possibility for the country, In short, but unfortunately this was also understood by the great supranational powers who proceeded with its suppression at the hands of Mattarella.
And now what will happen?

Vulnerable and “commissioned” Italy. And the disaster has just begun

Of Alberto Negri
Vulnerable and “commissioned” Italy. And the disaster has just begun
Source: Alberto Negri

Expelled from the Quirinale gate, Italian populism could transform into an unprecedented wave of nationalism in a country that has always demonstrated little attachment to the flag and a much greater attachment to the wallet, which today languishes. Mattarella leads Paolo Savona, an elderly and esteemed gentleman who allowed himself to be exploited by the crafty Matteo Salvini, it was a masterstroke to repel, at least for the moment, the Cinquestelle from the control room, but it could turn into a boomerang.

Go back to the fall of Gaddafi to understand

Italy remains a vulnerable country inside and above all outside, on markets and in foreign policy. Also vulnerable to the theories of an international conspiracy by the European and internal establishment to defend the euro, sometimes cited inappropriately as the father of all Italian troubles. But we must always find a culprit to justify our ignorance. There is no conspiracy, for the moment, but the evidence of the facts. Italy has been a fragile country since 2011 France, Great Britain and the United States decided to eliminate Colonel Gaddafi, its most important ally in the Mediterranean than just six months earlier, il 30 August 2010, had received with great fanfare in Rome, signing contracts worth tens of billions and relying on the Raìs for the control of migratory flows. Not only did Italy not defend it but it bombed it, giving in to the blackmail of its NATO allies who threatened to attack Eni's terminals.

It was Italy's biggest defeat since the Second World War. The consequences were devastating: colossal monetary losses and a wave of migration that, year after year, it destabilized the political framework of the country. From that 2011 Italy's allies and competitors have undermined our interests, leaving us alone and adrift. While yesterday in Rome the most lacerating political crisis of recent years was taking place, Emmanuel Macron has called an international conference on Libya for tomorrow in Paris which "will take place under the auspices of the United Nations" to set the date of the elections. How many things we have learned in these hours

Of Maurizio Blondet
How many things we have learned in these hours
Source: Maurizio Blondet

In a few hours, under the coup, we learned some fundamental truths that they had hidden, to the point of making them vague to our conscience.
That the Justice it is a radical necessity written in the heart of man, not in the codes. Not in positive laws. We know we have suffered an injustice, whatever their constitution says, their codes, their “legal” inventions – or their TVs and newspapers. Become aware of this gap, it is the first political maturation: thirst for justice, desire to redeem Justice betrayed by the institutions.
We learned that “national sovereignty” and “political freedom” they are the same thing, that “populism” is true democracy in the strong sense – power of the people and what they call democracy is a lie of the transnational plutocratic oligarchy. In the interest of foreigners.
We learned that "Legality" it is devoid of Legitimacy. That the current "Legality" is profoundly illegitimate, that is, delinquent. Explain the difference between legality and legitimacy, it would require pages of political philosophy: but we learned it in our own flesh, in a few hours, and we know, let's hear it, that today we live oppressed under their "legality".
We have learned that the Freedom it is a solemn and severe human need, which has nothing to do with the "freedoms" that they gave us, with their liberal and libertarian and "transgressive" ideologies, the "lgbt rights", gay marriage, free marijuana, the choice of euthanasia. We begin to understand that Freedom, the real one, it was taken away from us while they gave us these fake ones that cost them nothing - that we must fight to regain freedom, because it's not free. All libertarianisms and liberalisms, it is the ideologies of the master that oppresses us: I mean them, all the same, in these hours they are preaching to us that we must obey the "markets", it's because they are the ones who lend us the money to pay off the debt. The debt that our kapos have made.
The Germans loosed the Dobermans. E i Kapò.

We have learned that the European Union is not a meeting of free and equal peoples, with equal rights and duties., It's a German concentration camp. And as soon as we tried to propose to get out of it, they electrified the fences, loosened the Dobermans and distributed the sticks to the Italian kapos, so that they punish these "insolent", discipline with beatings these "freeloading beggars" who dare to rebel.
We learned the Fraternity. We have rediscovered a political fraternity that until yesterday we thought we were incapable of: “grillini” with the “Lega supporters”, southerners together with northerners, “young people” who find in an old of 81 years their flag, we hope for a prodrome of brotherhood between generations. Political fraternity, aware that our freedom has been taken away from us and that we must be and remain united to regain it.
We "brothers" are not the majority of the country, we don't fool ourselves for a moment. But we are the living and aware minority among the mass of disco and cocaine zombies. We are the awake Third Estate among the amorphous gelatinous masses of the unconscious Fifth Estate, without the ability to organize because they are devoted to obeying their primary impulses, sex drug rock,n,roll, sub-human and corpuscular existences.
The “Americans” will not help us
Some estimable conspiracy theorist friends had taken it for granted that the rise of the League and M5S had "the imprimatur of Washington and London". With very interesting topics and clues.

The Anglo-Americans play the M5S-League card aiming for Germanexit

However, I tend to disagree, at least in part. “Washington” is no longer a term that denotes unitary power. Steve Bannon is not in the White House, and Ambassador Eisenberg (Goldman Sachs) he received Salvini and Di Maio, but to warn them against leaning towards Putin. The Jewish lobby wants to lead the West to war against Iran.
Fierce opposition must not escape, indeed delirious, of the Italian exponents of Judaism to the Lega-Salvini government project.

Claudio Cerasa, director of Il Foglio - the organ of the most biased neocons available among us - and Premio Menora 2017, he ultimately invented this slanderous lie:

It is the same lie that liberal and libertarian radios and newspapers are repeating at the moment, from the Corriere to Radio Radicale. It is a lie that a slight and temporary increase in the spread (that today, Draghi will come down to show that Cottarelli saves us) translates into a direct increase in public spending. It is a lie that is not only baseless, but it constitutes the crimes of market manipulation and market manipulation.

but we have learned that "legality" is not opposed to those who are part of Injustice. They are allowed everything.
Even more revealing is Gad Lerner's contemptuous opposition:
In the place of #Mattarella I would consider resigning, so that the new Penta-Fascio-Lega majority can elect Di Battista's father or Calderoli or who knows who at the Quirinale. But he realizes #Paolo Savona of the company he ended up with?
https://twitter.com/gadlernertweet/status/1000626094729519104

Because he is not intelligent (it is the incarnate denial of the myth that Jews are all intelligent; he's just well-armed, so much so that they give him prime time programs on the state Rai), Gad Lerner – here he plays the full “defender of the race”. Your. He performs in three lines, without shame and without scruples, its Jewish and genocidal racism: contempt and spitting on the goyim and talking animals of the "penta-fascio-Lega" majority, and the invitation to Paolo Savona: like you did, Jew, to put you on the side of the Italians, beings inferior to our race? You failed in racial solidarity.
We also learned this.
I was forgetting: Federico Fubini, on the Courier, the most determined to spread panic and fake news about the 5Star-League government, “We will end up like Argentina”, we will pay more for the mortgage, etc.:
Great uncle Renzo Fubini, went to the USA with a grant from the Rockefeller Foundation, worked on Wall Street…

A country with a brain in smoke (of cannabis)

A country with a brain in smoke (of cannabis)
Source: Claudio Risé
A country with its head in smoke: This is one of the emergencies that the new government will have to face, without wasting too much time. On the consumption of cannabis and its derivatives, marijuana and hashish, Italy is at the top of the charts. His young people (dai 15 ai 34 years) they joint the 6% more than the European average; and this also leads to peaks in smoking and alcohol consumption. A sick youth appears, weak, insecure, scared. Anyone who works with teachers knows this well: Accompanying pupils on school trips is now at multiple risks, illnesses among children, complaints from hoteliers, accidents and unforeseen events of all kinds, not always without deaths, then told in the news. But adults don't joke either: here too we are at 32% against the 26% of EU average. Contrary to the slogan dear to the elites: “the joint does nothing” (and the psychedelic painter Matteo Guarnaccia already made a cartoon about it in the 1990s: “who knows how bored he is”), all this smoke leaves traces first and foremost in hospitals: il 15% of new users end up in treatment for panic attacks and out-of-control states. Also because people don't even know what they smoke: the THC level increased by more than 10% in 10 years. If there is a borderline situation, on the border between psychosis and “normality”, with a couple of joints it suddenly slips where it shouldn't (and “royalty”). Read More

Cosa c'è dietro l'immigrazione di massa

Of Ilaria Bifarini
What's behind mass immigration
Source: You are afraid
In recent years, European public opinion has learned to understand and in some way metabolize the phenomenon ofmass immigration. Throngs of men, women and children crowd around uncomfortable boats that sail the Mediterranean Sea until they are reached by boats of the now well-known NGOs, which take on the task of ferrying migrants to the northern coasts. This is only the last stage of a process that begins in the immigrants' countries of origin, but which has its roots in the financial mechanisms that regulate the global economy.
Austerity, debt, Malthusianism
The topic was discussed last Thursday at the Theater Hall of the Cristo Re Foundation, in Rome. Speakers Enzo Pennetta, biologist, teacher and writer, e Ilaria Bifarini, economist, author of the books Neoliberalism and mass manipulation (2017) e The Colonists of austerity: Africa, Neoliberalism and mass migration (2018). It is an analysis of the facts that starts from afar that Bifarini offers, which is defined as one “redeemed Bocconian”, from the name of the prestigious university where he studied, the “Bocconi” in Milan, factory of future high finance managers.
L’austerity, in his opinion, e even before the debt, they would be the triggers of mass immigration as well as the globalization of poverty. Austerity that, in Pennetta's introduction, would find a correlation with the Malthusianism, economic doctrine inspired by the Englishman Thomas Malthus according to which the population grows faster than the available resources. Hence the necessity, promoted by followers of this theory, Of reduce social assistance because it encourages population growth. And exactly cuts in public spending are the point of contact between Malthus and austerity. Read More

The Porcata

Let's take this opportunity to answer a question that came in recently: “Why, unlike other sites similar to yours, you cover current events a lot?” Why, rejecting intellectualism and loving non-fiction, we live in this world and not in the empyrean, therefore we prefer to give food for thought on what actually happens so as not to only give what is theoretical or theoretical. Furthermore 10 years, the choice proved to be a winning one”. (N.d.r.)
Of Marcello Veneziani

In the end, the rubbish arrived. Out with the populist government that came from the polls, away the minister unwelcome to the eurarchs, the technical government wanted by the Palace is born, in the name of European economic terrorism. One nightmare ends and another begins, maybe worse. Three months and we are worse than before. Mattarella's no to Savona and, through him, the entire establishment, it is the no to sovereign Italy.
If you go to vote, Salvini and the center-right start with the advantage, Di Maio takes a big risk and Diba is back in his place; but now expect the anti-populist bombing, financial terrorism to sow panic among people and intimidate voters... After a long agony the second republic is over but we don't know what stuff is starting: the third republic, the fourth international, Beethoveen's fifth... Read More

BIG GUY: IF THE VATICAN RECOMMENDED MATTARELLA'S TORPEDO TO THE LEAGUE-M5S GOVERNMENT...

Of Marco Tosatti
Big Guy – who has important contacts on this and the other side of the Tiber – it foreshadows a disturbing hypothesis, that is, that the Holy See communicated to the Quirinale a message of support for the constitutional forcing operation aimed at derailing the hypothesis of a Lega-M5S government, which had a solid parliamentary majority. If we take into account the statements of the president of the CEI Bassetti, of those of the general secretary Galantino and of the fund of the director of Avvenire, Tarquinius, which is one of the journalistic and media expressions of the latter, and Antonio Spadaro's tweets, director of Civiltà Cattolica, the rumor or hypothesis, call it what you want, It's absolutely plausible. Perfectly in line with the policy of contiguity adopted by the top bishops towards Renzi, he PD, and the left in general; the new collateralism. But let's see what Pezzo Grosso writes about it.
“I must declare that after the so-called government of President Napolitano in 2011, I understood the message clearly: elections serve exclusively to measure the political maturity of a people. If these people demonstrate immaturity, must be helped not to make mistakes. The European government of the Ventotene manifesto applied in practice. Read More

Sovereignists of the world unite. A manifesto against globalization

Of Luigi Morrone
Sovereignists of the world unite. A manifesto against globalization
Source: Corriere della Sera
Since the seventies of the last century, we are witnessing a rebirth of interest in the historiographical debate around the idea of "Nation". The essay “The Nation: Story of an idea” by Anthony David Stephen Smith, just published Rubbettino, with an understanding introduction by Alessandro Campi, outlines the current situation of the debate. A debate commonly marked by a banally post-Marxist approach, which tends to confine the "construction" of the idea of the Nation to mythology, according to a refrain repeated as an ossified formula: “It is not the Nation that creates nationalism, but the opposite". According to this paradigm:
1. The concept of Nation was established in the 19th century and any attempt to backdate it is marked by obvious forcing, because only in the modern era were the conditions created for the construction of "nationalist myths";
2. Nationalism "invents" the idea of the Nation starting from these myths to which a shared "identity" can be traced, which was called “Culture-Nation” by nineteenth-century nationalists (Cultural nation), that is, belonging to a community of culture and lineage that precedes its organization into a State. Myths that are completely made up (come Ossian) or which take inspiration from historical figures, transfiguring their reality. He is born, Like this, the epic of the rooster Vercingetorix, of Arminius, prince of the German Cherusci, of the Celtic leader Ambiorix, National hero of Belgium, del Cid Campeador, for Spain, by Alexander Nevsky and Ivan Susanin, for Russia;
3. The idea of "Nation", as a “liquid” idea, it no longer makes sense in the present time, where it is destined to give way to the idea of a trans-national community, daughter of globalization.
In this perspective, pointed out in the 1940s by Hans Kohn, it moves, first of all, the anthropologist Ernest Gellner, but his theories were further refined – among others – by Eric J. Hobsbawn, da Benedict Anderson, there Ottfried Höffe, da William H. McNeill, da Michel Theretschenko. Such theses, prevalent in mainstream literature today, however, they find refutation in scholars such as Adrian Hastings and John Armstrong. Read More

THE EU OR OTHER FOREIGN GOVERNMENTS CANNOT DECIDE WHICH MINISTERS ITALY SHOULD HAVE

Written and reported by Antonio Socci, “The Stranger”

The film that is airing these days is incredible. Germany complains about the intolerable interference of Italian voters (via Lega and M5S) in the formation of the new government in Rome which - apparently - they provide from Berlin, like you do with a colony.
In fact, from Berlin they make it known that they do not tolerate ministers they do not like. It's all out in the open, just read the newspapers.
She is scandalized "Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung" for the insubordination of the Italians towards the Germans: “Italy wants an enemy of Germany in government”.
Where "enemy of Germany" is simply meant an economist who wants to defend the Italian national interest and is critical of German arrogance. We have to stay, by subjects, under the Teutonic boot and kiss it too?
The "Sueddeustche Zeitung" explicitly exalts Mattarella who - according to them - is under siege from Italian voters: “never before has a President of the Republic been put under so much pressure as in recent days by the two parties” who “persist on the name of the radical Eurocritic Paolo Savona”.
According to them, it is not the EU, especially the Germans, to exert intolerable pressure on an Italian Head of State, but the parties most voted by Italians would be the ones who would press unduly who simply govern according to the Constitution. As if Mattarella was at the Quirinale to represent the EU (i.e. Germany).
But it is possible that Mattarella, instead of recognizing the will of the Italian voters, will become the spokesperson for the diktats coming from Berlin?
Hopefully this isn't the case. But you understand well what is happening when you read the Quirinalist of the “Press” Ugo Magri – very Mattarellian – who writes: “it is certain that Mattarella has raised the case of new book from Savona which puts to rest all the anti-Germanic feelings of its author, and accuses the Germans of hegemonic aims comparable to Hitler's".
And we need to think about when Matteo Salvini dice: “It's madness, it is pure madness to blow everything up because Merkel doesn't like Paolo Savona, because he dared to criticize Germany in one of his books".
With the full and significant support of Giorgia Meloni, in this battle for national independence, Salvini he rightly thundered: “German newspapers and politicians insult: Italian beggars, slackers, tax evaders, freeloaders and ungrateful. And we should choose an Economy Minister who suits them? No, Thank you! Italians first".
Salvini reasons with common sense and with the dignity that every political leader should have, as if we were in a country where the Italian people are still sovereign, according to the article 1 of the Constitution.
But evidently in recent years in Italy the pillar of the Constitution has been silently forgotten - defining it contemptuously sovereignism – and allowed foreigners to dominate.
So now Germany feels entitled give us orders. And the technocracy of the EU, in recent days, felt entitled to send its preventive warnings to Italy.
Without the highest offices of the State having felt obliged to defend the dignity and independence of Italy which among other things is one of the major industrial powers in the world.
No European country has seen such a thing foreign interference (not to mention the insolences that the German press throws at us).
On the contrary, Mattarella, instead of rising up against these intolerable interferences by the EU and Germany, seems to become their spokesperson and - turning the tables - accuses foreign powers and the EU of imposing "diktats"., but the League who simply - based on the vote received from the Italians - indicated Paolo Savona for the Treasury Ministry.
It seems like the situation described by Manzoni in the “Betrothed”. After the overbearing diktat of Don Rodrigo - who had ordered through two bravoes: “this wedding shouldn't happen” – Don Abbondio began to invent excuses, refusing to marry Renzo and Lucia to obey the arrogant lord.
The two young people thus devised a way to circumvent the incomprehensible veto of the fearful priest, ma don Abbondio scatenò il finimondo accusando di prepotenza Renzo e Lucia.
Manzoni comments:
“In the midst of this greenhouse greenhouse, we cannot stop ourselves from stopping for a moment to reflect. Renzo, that screamed at night in someone else's house,
who had snuck in there, and kept the master himself besieged in a room, he has all the appearance of an oppressor; nevertheless, at the end of the day, he was the oppressed. Don Abbondio, surprised, put to flight, scared, while he calmly went about his business, it would appear to be the victim; nevertheless, actually, it was he who was committing an abuse. This is how the world often goes...".

It is now clear that there is something at stake here much more than a simple ministry and much more than one EU reform like the one proposed by Savona (all the experts, aware of the situation, they know that change needs to be made), ma our own national sovereignty is at stake.
Mattarella risks taking on the very serious responsibility not only of sink a government, but also of drag the presidency of the republic into political contention and therefore in a very serious one institutional crisis.
Once the Quirinale enters the political dispute, some might even argue that the Italian state is submitting to the diktat of foreign powers.
As president Mattarella took the oath with these words: “Giuro di essere fedele alla Repubblica e di osservarne lealmente la Costituzione”. He knows well that this means being faithful to the Italian Republic and not to the German one. He knows well that he has to be guardian of the Italian Constitution, not of Merkel's wishes.
As a French economist said (moreover pro-European) Germany, after destroying the economy in Europe, is in danger of also destroy democracy. They “allow” you to change governments, but never policies. And this – complains that economist – will mark the end of the euro.
