Discipline of fasting and abstinence
Since the Constitution "Repent" of the 1966 of Paul VI and the "New Canon Law" of 1983 of John Paul II have no legal value, the discipline observed under the pontificate of Pius XII is still in force (according to the Canons 1250-1254 of the Benedictine canon law of the 1917, modified by the Decree from the S. Congregation of Rites of 16 September 1955 and from the S. Congregation Council of 25 July 1957).The current law for the faithful of the Latin rite is therefore the following:
– THE LAW OF FASTING obliges all the faithful who have accomplished the 21 years old and have not yet started their 60th year.
– THE LAW OF ABSTINENCE from the flesh obliges all the faithful to start from 7 completed years.
IL FAST consists of having only one meal a day and two small lunches during the day (moralists quantify in 60 grams in the morning and 250 grams in the evening; the evening meal is always lean).
L’ABSTINENCE prohibits the use of meat, of meat extract or broth, but not that of eggs, dairy products and any animal fat condiments. Read More

The “semi-traditionalism” of the SSPX
I had the opportunity to read and appreciate it (in the destroying part) the “Catechism of the crisis in the Church” written by Don Matthias Gaudron, a priest of the SSPX, which is thus presented in the preface by Don P. M. Petrucci: “…to warn the faithful against the errors that have penetrated the mystical Body of Christ and spread even by the highest ecclesiastical hierarchy.”. Già a Pag. 15/16 however there is something that is out of place with the preface, as for the author:
“…all the popes have recognized, one way or another, the existence of a serious crisis in the Church".
A hierarchy that spreads errors (in contrast to what defines the Eternal Shepherd) but which also admits to spreading or encouraging them?!? Therefore the negotiations between the SSPX and Rome are aimed at converting the “wandering Church” or finding a compromise? This is a point yet to be clarified. The ambiguous motto: “Recognize and resist” causes the paradoxical backlash of the “imperfect communion” between Rome and SSPX (doctrine condemned by the Church and in words by the SSPX itself!), placing the ongoing negotiations as one of the chapters of that post-conciliar ecclesial ecumenism, always condemned by the Church (and verbally condemned by the SSPX itself). Mons. Guido Pozzo (6/3/2016 Isola on Patmos) in fact he claims how: “Members of the SSPX are Catholics on their way to full communion with the Holy See”, and on another occasion: ( https://www.cath.ch/newsf/certains-textes-conciliaires-discutes-fsspx/ ) : “ The difficulties raised by the Society of Saint Pius they are not an obstacle to the canonical and legal recognition of the Society of Saint Pius.

Our country shares the lead with Spain and the Scandinavian countries.
In Italy people get married later and later. This is stated by a European report that photographs the situation of marriages throughout Europe. Whether we are talking about a civil ceremony, whether reference is made to religious ones, weddings in the old continent take place later and later. Consequentially, the average age of first conception and the age difference between parents and children increases.
Italy is at the bottom of the rankings across Europe. Men in our country usually get married around the age of thirty-five. The average age of brides is slightly lower, who are usually married to 32,2 years.
These are the highest figures, beaten in terms of seniority only by Spain and the Scandinavian countries.

Forty years ago, these days, the story ended, modernity ended and the twentieth century stopped beating, as we had known it until then.
