The Macron government condemns the protest and asks specialists not to take women and their rights 'hostage'.

No more abortions in France? It could happen. In the country beyond the Alps it seems to be about to explode soon a protest by the gynecologists' union, against the policies of the government led by Emmanuel Macron.
The specialists are on a war footing and they threatened the institutions to block voluntary terminations of pregnancy, if they are not listened to by the Parisian institutions. At the center of the gynecologists' requests is the need to re-discuss the law on insurance limits.
The Macron government has in fact placed a cap on how much insurance companies can pay, in case of conviction for medical error. For specialists, the risk is having to pay millions of euros out of your own pocket for possible compensation.
From the Elysée, but, French gynecologists are asked for maximum collaboration: “Don't let women be taken hostage” said Agnes Buzyn “protesting is right but stopping performing abortions, violating the rights of the French is unacceptable".
