At the beginning of 2012, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu he went to the annual meeting of the very powerful American Israel Public Affairs Committee (Aipac) to pronounce a harsh indictment against the political line of the Obama administration, interrupted by the reading of a few passages of a letter, dating back to 1944, through which the US War Department had communicated to representatives of the Zionist movement its rejection of their proposal to bomb a segment of the railway line leading to the Auschwitz concentration camp. At the end of his speech, il leaderdel Likud he stated furthermore that «none of us can afford to wait much longer. As Israeli Prime Minister, I will not allow my people to live in the shadow of annihilation", thus exploiting the suffering of the Jews for ideological purposes in accordance with the now consolidated practice of justifying Israeli policy. The Israeli prime minister himself indulged in a scene of the same kind during the United Nations General Assembly in September 2012, appearing before delegates from all over the world holding a poster depicting a ball bomb with a lit fuse, on which he drew a corresponding red line, according to him, to the “point of no return”, i.e. the limit that the United Nations they should prevent to Iran to overcome "before it completes the enrichment necessary to manufacture a bomb".
A substantially similar spectacle has been repeated in recent days, with Netanyahu himself who, through a “message to the nation”, declared that the Mossad and Aman had come into possession of circa 100.000 documents proving Tehran's "misconduct".. Specifically, Iran has been accused of violating the “5+1” agreement reached in 2015 which sanctioned the interruption of the nuclear program in exchange for a gradual removal of Western sanctions conditional on compliance with the clauses of the agreement which the inspectors of the International Atomic Energy Agency were supposed to monitor (Aieea). Netanyahu claimed that Iran intended to equip itself with «at least 5 devices of similar power to the one dropped on Hiroshima" that can be directed towards Israel through Shabab-3 missiles, Ghadr-1H e Ghadr 1-F, especially now that Tehran has military structures in Syria following its entry into the field alongside its ally Bashar al-Assad. The prime minister also clarified that Tel Aviv took care to submit all the material collected to the attention of US specialists, who would have guaranteed its authenticity.
The only problem is that, to the obvious denials of the IAEA he officially reiterated on Netanyahu's show declaring officially that «there are no credible indications regarding the development of nuclear capabilities by Iran since 2009 onwards", and that the Chief of Staff of the Israeli Army Gadi Eisenkot he had stated a few weeks before the agreement of 2015 "It's working properly". Furthermore, Netanyahu's strong inclination towards the instrumental "dramatization" of real issues in order to obtain political and/or personal advantages is well known., both for his that for the his family. At the moment, it is impossible to express a calm and objective judgment on the truthfulness of the very serious accusations made by Netanyahu, and it is therefore necessary to resort to the analysis of the behavior previously held by the protagonists of the story regarding the Iranian nuclear issue to formulate hypotheses of some sort.
Sotto la direzione di Meir Dagan, il Mossad conceived and promptly implemented he Decapitation Program, a covert operation aimed at sabotaging Iran's nuclear program which, through toxic gas leaks, explosions triggered by defective materials and ambushes of various kinds, caused the death of Iranian nuclear physicists and engineers Ali Mahmoudi Mimand, Daryoush Rezaie, Majid Shahriari, Hassan Moghaddam, Abbassi Davani and Mustafa Ahmadi-Roshan. According to some rather accredited reconstructions, There was also the hand of the Mossad behind the explosion at the Imam Ali Air Force base which caused the death of 18 between technicians and military personnel, including the general Hassan Therani Moghaddam, leading figures in Iran's missile program. Tehran also expressed its suspicion that behind the hijacking of the plane that took off from Bishkek and headed for Tehran, crashed to the ground in August 2008 causing the death of 44 Iranian scientists, there was the hand of the Mossad.
That of eliminating the paintings, the intellectuals and technicians of hostile states to weaken them and slow down or compromise their development is a way of working which has been widely used in relation to Syria and of theIraq to prevent them from making substantial technological progress that would put them in a position to alter the balance of the region. Already during the Gulf War, the USA launched a campaign of systematic elimination of Iraqi technicians employed in the Republican Guard, and once the conflict was over they demanded that the scientific journals and laboratory equipment necessary for research be included in the list of goods subject to an embargo on Iraq. The assassination of the most technologically advanced personalities of Syria and Iran obviously served the same purpose.
It should also not be forgotten that, in June of 1981, Tel Aviv did not hesitate to make use of the data provided by the US satellite system to guide - against the advice of the Mossad and Aman - its F-16s towards the designated objective, corresponding to the Tammuz-1 reactor of the al-Tuweitha nuclear power plant built by the French in the 1970s near Osiraq, in Iraqi territory. Operation Babylon, launched despite Iraq having signed - unlike Israel - the Non-Proliferation Treaty in 1968 and subjected its plants to inspections by IAEA technicians, was aimed precisely at preventing at any cost that Saddam Hussein's Iraq was in a position to acquire atomic weapons (Crucial information about Iraq's nuclear program had been gathered as part of Operation Sphinx).
For Israel, the very prospect that a neighboring country could acquire nuclear weapons represents a huge reverse, since it deprives him of the nuclear monopoly that leadership of the Jewish State he has always defended with drawn sword. Currently, Tel Aviv claims the right to make accusations and threats towards a country that is a signatory to the Non-Proliferation Treaty nuclear like Iran as representative of the only Middle Eastern nation to have a nuclear arsenal which - unlike Iran - does not accept IAEA inspections. The first to tear away the veil of hypocrisy dropped on this matter by the Israeli leaders was the nuclear technician Mordechai Vanunu, that in 1986 he escaped from the Dimona power plant where he worked to reveal that Israel was in possession of a secret nuclear arsenal, despite the Tel Aviv authorities having repeatedly denied the rumors circulating in this regard. The act of audacity cost Vanunu the kidnapping in Rome by some agents of the Mossad, that the 30 August 1986 they kidnapped him and transferred him to an Israeli prison. During an interview given in October of 2005 to a Swiss journalist, Vanunu ha remembered That:

«I had been working at the Dimona armaments research center for nine years, in the Beer Sheva region. Just before leaving that job, In the 1986, I had taken photographs inside the facility to show the world that Israel was hiding a nuclear secret. My job in Dimona was to produce radioactive elements that could be used to make atomic bombs. I knew exactly what quantities of fissile matter were being produced, what materials were used and what types of bombs were made".

To the question regarding the motive for this action, Vanunu rispose:

«if I decided to do it, it was because the Israeli authorities were lying. They poured out, repeating that Israeli policymakers had no intention of acquiring nuclear weapons. Actually, they produced many radioactive substances that could serve only one purpose: make nuclear bombs. These were significant quantities: I calculated that at the time – in 1986! – they already had 200 atomic bombs. They had also begun producing hydrogen bombs, very powerful".

However, Vanunu was not the only one to turn the spotlight on Israel's atomic arsenal. In March 2015, former Secretary of State Colin Powell he wrote in an email discovered and published by DcLeaks that Israel had "200 atomic bombs ready to launch on Tehran". The authoritative British military magazine «Jane's», for his part, esteem instead in about 400 test Israel's nuclear arsenal, whose strong point is represented by long-range ballistic missiles Jericho-3, capable of achieving objectives a 9.000 km away, and above all come on Jericho-2, medium-range missiles equipped with solid rocket motors, long 14 m, heavy beyond 26.000 kg, capable of almost covering 3.000 km of range and can be installed on moving vehicles as well as on silos. It is, however, the missile Shavit – developed on the technical basis of Jericho-2 – to constitute Israel's ace in the hole, which despite having been used by Tel Aviv to launch satellites into orbit Ofeq could be used to deliver nuclear warheads to a range close to 10.000 km, which makes it – on a par with the Jericho-3 – a strategic vector capable of extending Israel's offensive capacity to vast areas of Africa and the entire territorial area of the Middle East. Il Popeye instead it represents a preliminary phase of an air-to-ground missile (installed on F-151 fighters Ra’am e F-161 Sufa, supplied to the Israeli Air Force) from which the Popeye Turbo, long nuclear warhead cruise missile 4,8 m, heavy 1.360 kg, equipped with an infrared guidance system and capable of covering a range between 200 and i 350 km. Numerous sources report that this missile was subsequently adapted to torpedo launchers from 650 mm with which submarines are equipped Dolphin (made in Germany), almost long 58 m con 1.900 tons of submerged displacement. Strengthened by such an arsenal and reassured by powerful international alliances, Israel can afford not to join the UN Conference for the creation of a Middle Eastern zone free of nuclear weapons, in which Iran instead participates. It can continue to make several atomic bombs a year, thanks to the overall quantity of plutonium produced which is around 950 kg. It is also capable of producing tritium, radioactive isotope of hydrogen useful for manufacturing new generation nuclear weapons such as mini-nukes, to be used in the most restricted war scenarios – such as Gaza.
The Israeli decision to set up such a powerful nuclear arsenal has in fact radically disrupted the fragile balance of forces in the region, pushing other Middle Eastern countries to attempt a "strategic rebalancing". For the Jewish State, the protection guaranteed by the United States represented a sensational form of protection and the best option on the table would therefore have been to develop a civil nuclear program that would put the country in a position to exploit the knowledge acquired for military purposes in case of need. It is likely that Iran is aiming for this very goal, seen and considered that for Tehran the deterrence ensured by the highly advanced nuclear arsenal available to its Russian ally represents the best guarantee available.
On the eve of the political elections in March 2018, Putin has in fact announced the mass production of intercontinental missiles capable of evading any interceptor system currently in use and making it clear that Moscow will not hesitate to use it as a form of atomic retaliation «in the event of a nuclear attack against Russia or its allies» – read China and Iran. Specifically, it's about Of

«an air-launched cruise missile armed with a nuclear warhead, with practically unlimited range of action being powered by nuclear energy, an unpredictable course and the ability to penetrate through any anti-missile defense. Kinzhal and Avangard missiles with hypersonic speed (beyond 10 times that of sound). The Sarmat intercontinental ballistic missile from 200 tons on mobile platform, with a radius of 18.000 km, armed with more 10 nuclear warheads maneuvering at hypersonic speed to escape interceptor missiles. An underwater drone faster than a torpedo that, powered by nuclear energy, travels intercontinental distances at great depths, hitting ports and coastal fortifications with a high-powered nuclear warhead".

In this context, the "message to the nation" of "Bibi" it tends to take the form of a golden opportunity handed to Trump on a silver platter – which is no coincidence he declared that the "dirty work" carried out by the Israeli services "proves that I was 100% right" - to carry forward its plans aimed at revoking the "5+1" agreement, which the USA is the first to violate by harshly punishing the banks that provide credit to Tehran, and the destabilization of the Iranian political regime. Netanyahu made it known to the public that he had targeted Tehran as early as January 2002, when he wrote an article for the Chicago Sun Times in which he warned That

«American forces have defeated the Taliban in Afghanistan, dismantling the protection network enjoyed by al-Qaeda in that country. Ora, the United States is called to carry out the mission against other sponsors of terror, namely Iran, l’Iraq, the dictatorship of Yasser Arafat and Syria".

It is interesting to note how Netanyahu's "indications". followed those already expressed by the Labor Party Ehud Barak in an article for the «Times», marking a perfect convergence of views and strategic objectives between two opposite poles of the Israeli political landscape, several senior members of the US Congress and a large part of the Washington government. The attack on Iraq 2003, based on a colossal and shameless lie, it was also the result of the very heavy pressure on the USA exerted by the Jewish State and of an unprecedented campaign in favor of military intervention orchestrated by the US Israel Lobby, and pointed out that the neoconservatives - some of whom had written the well-known memorandum for Israel Clean Break, which has strongly influenced the politics of Tel Aviv - present in large numbers in the Bush administration they were “walking the thin line between loyalty to the US government and Israeli interests”, as an authoritative Israeli expert such as Akiva Eldar observed. The same strategists who intended to reshape the geopolitical map of the Middle East in ways suited to US interests thanks to a highly ambitious operational plan that, according to revelations of the former general Wesley Clark, they expected to

«take out seven countries in five years, i.e. Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and finally Iran".

Already then, Iran was therefore credited as the final target of US grand strategy, and is currently the real target of the proxy wars waged against Syria and the Houthi rebels (Shia-Zaydi) operating in Yemen from the NATO-Saudi-Israeli front. It should also not be forgotten that the Islamic Republic was recently the scene of a revolt against the high cost of living and the centralization of wealth in the hands of the clergy. The uprising, accompanied by a currency war led by the USA, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates aimed at depressing the price of the rial with the aim of depriving the regime of popular support, broke out a few months after Washington's decision to assign management of operations to intelligence against the Islamic Republic to the very titled “principe nero” Michael D’Andrea, CIA veteran from 1979. The maneuvers against the Islamic Republic follow the indications contained in in a rather faithful manner a study focused on regime change methods in Iran conducted in 2009 dalla Brookings Institution, and respond to the objective of bringing a country into line, despite the very strong pressure to which he has been subjected incessantly since the fall of the Shah in 1979, it has never bowed to Western diktats and continues to defend its independence with impressive obstinacy and to exercise religious influence, linguistic and cultural that radiates to Central Asia. A state that, together with Russia and China, constitutes a fundamental pillar of the anti-hegemonic nucleus from which the most far-reaching challenge to the unipolar structure dominated by the United States comes.
From Tel Aviv's point of view, the strategic objective is to keep the technological and "power" gap that separates Israel from the rest of the countries in the region unchanged even at the cost of breaking up the Middle East into a series of micro-state entities lacking the strength to challenge Tel Aviv (the famous Piano Yinon) and to establish a de facto alliance with Saudi Arabia. It is one of the most obscurantist nations in the world which acts as a crutch for the fundamental petro-dollar system and has in common with the Jewish state the irreducible hatred towards Iran, whose rise was favored by vigorous power politics (especially in Syria and Yemen) tends to reduce Riyadh's influence on the Islamic world and on global geopolitical balances.
