Increasingly anti-immigration
Immigration, Europeans don't seem to be able to take it anymore. This is what a survey published in the Spanish newspaper claims The Country. L’mass immigration it would be the issue that worries the citizens of the old continent the most, together with the environment, and statistics show steady growth in merit. In the 2014 the results highlighted the state of the economy and public debt as the main fears.
The current survey, conducted by YouGov, shows how the 46% of Europeans reject not only irregular immigration, but even the entries of refugees, a symptom of the institutions' lack of confidence in the correct application of the right to international protection, almost always used as Excuse me to open doors to anyone. A possible interpretation: Europeans no longer believe stories about people "running away from war" and when in doubt they prefer a clean slate.
The most intense situations are found in Sweden, Italy and Poland. Swedes against constant arrivals would be the 51%, up compared to previous years, while in Italy and Poland even at 53%. Hungary remains strongly opposed but not yet in the majority: 49%.
