La fontana 'demoniaca' it costs the Municipality 150 thousand euros: it's polemical

The first 'social complaint' came from Senator Pillon.
Storm over the municipal administration of Vergato, in the province of Bologna, after the mayor inaugurated thea new fountain intended for a public space. The sculptural complex unequivocally represents the figure of a "satanasso” excited, carrying a child with butterfly wings on his back.
A completely questionable choice, also considering the costs that the administration had to bear: am 150mila euros. However, the news did not escape the Northern League senator Simone Pillon, who "denounced" the mayor's initiative via a post on Facebook: “If they want curtains for the crucifixes, I ask for a concrete pour to permanently hide this rubbish“. In fact, many have seen the statue as a representation that is certainly not suited to a public space for children, as well as a real one anthem to pedophilia.
But it was the mayor of Vergato himself who responded to Pillon. Massimo Gnudi (Pd) he explained to the local press that the “faun portrayed is the Rhine River, which carries the Vergatello stream on its shoulders, while the triton at the base is the Apennines. In short, it is a work that tells the story of the territory, with the style of the artist Luigi Ontani".
