The mission of the Lawyer

of the lawyer. Andrea Sartori of Verona

Lawyer a mission

My profession is a mission.

Yes, I say this without presumption, but for experience.
It's a mission because assisting people and trying to solve their problems is a mission, consolatory, because the first impact you have with the customer is always that of upset over something that isn't working, which is not according to the law.
So, listen to how the problem is experienced, frame the person in front of you, make her understand that whoever is in front of her is not just a legal expert, but he is a person who can also understand the discomfort or anger of explaining why he is there on an appointment, And comprehension.

This is how empathy is born.

The first step to get into the problem and get the person to leave their thoughts in the office.
It's a mission intercession, towards the other party, towards the judge, to reach the goal, that of restore legality.
It also happens when there is no judge involved and the needs seem purely economic.
Every problem has a root of misunderstanding at its base, the first misunderstanding comes from those who experience the problem, then there is that of those who don't accept the problem, and also that of those who reject the solution.
Sometimes they ask me to work because “It's a question of principle”.
They thus lose sight of the fact that the real problem is understanding what the principle is.
And then they also lose the dispute, they risk no longer even understanding where their request came from.
In church, next to my father, listening to the homily last week, I heard the parish priest say: Jesus was the first lawyer, called to intercede with God for the salvation of souls.
Ecco, I am not Jesus, my father is not God, I don't save souls, but I propose possible solutions, trying to use legal instruments as best as possible and honestly.
Results cannot be measured, in my opinion, on the number of victories. I don't go into battle.
I measure the results on the satisfaction of the person who has trusted and trusted.
Someone takes advantage of it, patience. Next time with some other patron, he will understand.
It's a job, and like all jobs it must be paid. But for me it's not just a job.
