Orban: "Fate figli per la Patria!"

Budapest, 11 Feb – “Throughout Europe there are fewer and fewer births. For Western countries the answer lies in immigration, in bringing in people to even the score; for us migration means giving up and we think differently: we don't just want numbers, we want Hungarian children". The speech of Viktor Orban at the Budapest parliament it is a "bomb" aimed at reviving births.
But as always, beyond words, you need facts. The Hungarian Prime Minister knows this well and for this reason he has decided to launch a extraordinary plan for the birth rate. According to the project launched by Orban women with at least four children “will never pay income tax and new families will be able to request a zero interest loan for ten million forints (approximately 31 thousand euros, ndr)”. Not only that, the Hungarian prime minister specified that the plan will include incentives and interventions from the Budapest government aimed at hold up “popular housing” and others reduce the costs of "electricity and gas" to "almost zero" paid by families.
These are measures that the Hungarian government will adopt to stem the demographic decline (which according to Orban could lead to “disappearance of the Hungarian people”) and to “defend the Hungarian identity and Christian heritage”. On the other hand, in Hungary there is an annual fertility rate of 1,45 children for woman, below the already worrying European average of 1,58.

In his speech to the nation Orban then hoped that, following the next European elections, the EU institutions will be guided by forces against immigration. “The peoples of Europe are at a historical crossroads”, Orban thundered, revealing that “countries with mixed populations”, contribute to the ongoing process and within a few decades it risks being completed: the Christian population will become a minority in Europe. A prospect that the Hungarian prime minister is now trying to stem by blocking the entry of immigrants and providing aid to Hungarian families.
