The Lombardy Regional Council has approved the law to reform cemetery and funeral services. E’ An amendment from the Democratic Party was also unanimously approved, which partially modifies the provisions regarding the burial of unborn children, called in the amendment "products of conception", following interruption (voluntary and otherwise) of pregnancy. The amendment introduces that this must happen "exclusively at the explicit request of the woman or whoever is entitled to the decision", for example in the case of minors or people incapable of understanding and wanting. The previous rule required that they be buried anyway, restoring unborn children the dignity of persons instead of being treated as special waste.
Another significant change introduced is that the decision is transferred "from the family" to the "sole woman"..
"As – warns Don Maurizio Gagliardini, president of the association “Defending life with Maria” created specifically to bury aborted children – in underlining the exclusive decision-making weight of women, to want to accentuate the law at all costs 194, in reality the role of the father and parenting is discriminated against". ONE STEP BACK

Don Gagliardini states: "It seems to me that the norm is a step backwards despite the fact that embryos and fetuses can still be honored with a burial". The burial of unborn children, as well as restoring dignity to these children, keeps awareness alive about abortion which, with burial, comes out of hiding and makes it publicly visible. Canceling the burial is like trying to hide what happened and pretend nothing happened, but it is not and will never be like this because what happened is the loss of a human life.
The new law reforming cemetery and funeral services also gives the possibility for pets to be buried with their owners. The article was approved by the Regional Council with 41 yes and 29 no and specifies that «by the will of the deceased or at the request of the heirs, they can be buried in a separate casket, after cremation, in the same grave as the deceased or in the family tomb".
NO FUNERAL FOR ANIMALS
This rule will pose many problems as some priests have already highlighted on social media, why there cannot be a Christian funeral for pets. The decision to bury men and animals together prefigures an equality that is not possible, or the return to a paganism that was usually read about in history books.
In short, dogs buried with men and unborn children as special waste.
