In the end l’Aifa gave the green light to the administration of triptorelin as a solution for so-called gender dysphoria in pre-adolescents. With resolution of 25 February (published in the Official Journal on 2 March), l’Aifa makes known the «inclusion of the medicine triptorelin in the list of medicines that can be paid for entirely by the National Health Service, pursuant to the law 23 December 1996, n. 648, for use in selected cases where puberty is incongruent with gender identity (gender dysphoria), with diagnosis confirmed by a multidisciplinary and specialist team and in which psychological assistance is provided, psychotherapeutic and psychiatric treatment is not conclusive». We had already talked about it when, incredibly, in the summer 2018, the National Committee for Bioethics (Cnb) had given a positive opinion to the use of the molecule for the cases in question.
Ora, we could follow the example of other associations that immediately questioned the safety of triptorelin, come Science and Life and the Livatino Study Center, who in a joint statement reiterated that the «drug is placed on the list of Ssn in lack of clinical studies and long-term follow-up; the risk is high, using the Trp to block puberty until 4 about years – come on 12 ai 16 years of age – of pharmacologically induce a misalignment between the physical and cognitive development of the minor». We could follow this example and in part we do, in the sense that it is certainly relevant and necessary to detect these dangers on an application level. The real problem, but, it's upstream, because even before contesting the application of a dangerous therapy, it is necessary to understand whether the condition on which one intends to intervene with said therapy, is correctly framed from a point of view that is not only clinical, but first and foremost philosophical, not to mention, even more brutally, rational.
About the “gender dysphoria” (as it was renamed gender identity disorder In the Dsm-5 dell’American Psychiatric Association and in theIcd-11 dell’Oms) we are witnessing the most evidently irrational approach, philosophically abnormal and – one should deduce – clinically unreliable than ever. It's very simple: in light of the new approach, if on the one hand gender dysphoria «it is not a mental disorder», on the other hand it presents «significant health care needs». It is demonstrated that providing healthcare for a condition that is not pathological but physiological is consistent with the principle of non-contradiction.
Michelle Cretella, president ofAmerican College of Pediatricians, declared in this regard to LifeSiteNews That "“normal” is what fulfills its function. Nevertheless, There is almost no one left to state such obvious things, and those few who continue to do so expose themselves increasingly to the risk of lawsuits and media persecution.
To return to triptorelin, in conclusion, before identifying the critical issues of the "remedy", we must ask ourselves if the evil has truly been identified. Because they want to allow puberty blocking for those sexually confused pre-adolescents? Why, if the conditions are met, they must be able to "reverse course" and change sides. This is evidently the drama that needs to be resolved first and foremost. So yes, triptorelin is banned (paid with everyone's money), but above all else: ban the ideology of gender.
