If we lived in a more or less normal world, today all Western chancelleries would be busy asking for clarifications and sending protests to the royal house of Saudi Arabia. And some governments that are more decisive than others could perhaps summon their ambassador for explanations. Instead almost everything is silent and, apart from the indiscretions artfully filtered by Turkey's secret services, a slightly embarrassed silence accompanies the fate of Jamal Khashoggi, well-known and appreciated journalist in Saudi Arabia and beyond, given that he had recently also become a columnist for the "Washington Post". Donald Trump, great supporter of the Saudis, he was silent for days and then said he was "worried", leaving it to Mike Pompeo, the Secretary of State, the task of challenging ridicule and calling on the Saudis for a "thorough investigation" into the journalist's fate.
The problem is that there is little to investigate. Khashoggi entered his country's consulate in Istanbul on 2 October, leaving his Turkish girlfriend on the sidewalk waiting for him. And it never came out why, the Turks let it be known, he would have been killed, then actually torn to pieces and finally taken away by a commando of fifteen agents who arrived on the same day on two private flights taking off from the Saudi capital Riyadh. There are the names, there are faces, it is known that some of them are part of the personal guard of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and that an anatomopathologist was also traveling with them, apparently charged with supervising the dismemberment of the body.
Khashoggi, moreover, he was not a fanatical opponent either , to say, some subversive who wanted to undermine the foundations of the Sunni-Wahhabi kingdom. On the contrary, he was an experienced journalist and, in his time, very inserted in the circles of the Saudi royal house. He had been part of the small delegation that accompanies the prince on his international travels several times. Unfortunately for him, in recent times he had begun to express some doubts about the validity of Mohammed bin Salman's policies. The war in Yemen, which leads to nothing among a thousand atrocities. The plan for the economic reform of the kingdom, called “Vision 2030”, that makes water. The purges against the old guard Saudi notables. Too, apparently. Not even the fact that he moved to the USA saved him.
What else is needed for a minimum of indignation? Especially in America and Europe, where the freedom of the press and journalists is an asset considered precious and as such always defended. Instead nothing or almost nothing, also by Governments as well, now it's not much, they harshly criticized Turkey for the journalists put on trial and then forced into exile. sad destiny, their. But not like being hacked to pieces with a saw in a diplomatic compound.
What happens, or rather it doesn't happen, these days it perfectly reflects the state of international relations, in which all the talk about rights and values does not apply to "friends" but only to "enemies". And Saudi Arabia is too important a friend for everyone. Trump (but also Obama before him) it earns billions by supplying it with weapons and considers it fundamental, together with Israel, in the axis that should oppose the growing influence of Iran. Last April, Mohammed bin Salman made a visit to the USA in which he was honored not only at the White House but also by the super-intelligent and super-democratic bosses of Silicon Valley and Hollywood. Before landing in the USA, moreover, Salman himself had stopped in London where, bringing as a dowry 100 billions of investments for post-Brexit England, he had been welcomed with all honors, lunch with Queen Elizabeth included. And we could say more or less the same for almost all European countries.
Saudi Arabia knows this and takes advantage of it with the arrogance of someone who feels untouchable. Now there is the Khashoggi case, but it is only the latest in a long series. In August Cynthia Freeland, Foreign Minister of Canada, had dared to ask in a tweet for the release of a group of Saudi women arrested for their campaigns in favor of women's rights. In response, the Saudis kicked out the Canadian ambassador, they blocked all flights to Canada, they froze economic relations and invited thousands of Saudi students to return home.
In the 2016, because of his actions in Yemen, Saudi Arabia was included in the UN list of countries that violate the rights of children in war zones. The blackmail started immediately, later admitted by Secretary Ban Ki-moon himself: either you remove us from the list or we cut funding to the UN. And cancellation it was. With Khashoggi's disappearance it will end the same way. Too bad it goes, Mohammed bin Salman will make some phone calls, he will remember this or that matter, he will talk about the price of oil or terrorism in the Middle East. But he won't even have to bother himself, the world works like this and everyone who needs to know it already knows it

Juncker a capo della commissione sarà ricordata come l'inizio della fine dell'Ue

juncker dombrovskisJUNCKER DOMBROWSKI

Of Giancarlo Perna for The Truth

Waking up, on November 1st 2019, Jean Claude Juncker will no longer be president of the EU Commission. He has already let us know that he will not run again. He could have avoided it because he would never be re-elected. It is a given that in May of’ next year, with the EU elections, popular and socialist collapse on which Juncker is perched. When the’ entire scenario will be changed, Jean Claude will have 65 years, he will be disoriented and will give up everything.

The twilight of this Luxembourger who has dedicated his life to’ Ue. Today, he is forced to hear the dull sounds of crumbling on every front. Painful from sciatica, crippled by the after-effects of a road accident in 1989 in which he remained in a coma for weeks, Juncker resorts to’ alcohol to soothe the disappointment. Some days he shuts himself away alone, in others he has outbreaks d’ ira. When he staggers into meetings, provoking the ironies of the European press and chancelleries, I seem to hear a background of poignant Wagnerian notes that accompany the end of his career. Read More

States VS markets: here is the world to come

Dall’ Italy to China passing from Germany to the USA: not exactly mainstream conversation with l’ economist Guido Salerno Aletta (edited by Giacomo Gabellini)
For several days, general attention has been focused on the Economic and Financial Document (Def) launched by the Conte government, but the Italian case certainly does not represent the only factor destined to heavily influence the performance of the world economy, which is weighed down by numerous unknowns, starting from the explosive rise of China and the political line adopted by the Trump administration. We talked about all this with the economist Guido Salerno Aletta, former general director of the Ugo Bordoni Foundation and former deputy general secretary of Palazzo Chigi.
In his recent article, you expressed the opinion that the current confrontation between financial operators and the Italian government represents a battle of the great clash between States and markets. What led you to reach such a conclusion? How do you think this clash will evolve?? Read More

The cult of the migrant. Between propaganda and guilt

Of Roberto Siconolfi
The cult of the migrant. Between propaganda and guilt
Source: Stanza 101
One of the propaganda masterpieces of new “ordoglobalist” system it is the "cult of the migrant". Starting from the subject in question, let's see the project, not even that hidden, is to formulate a “new anthropological type”. A very complex project in which the migrant is a party, but which also includes other elements, such as the debasement of sexual qualities, cultural, and spiritual and more generally the whole process defined as Transhumanism.
Even the term "migrant" suggests a sweetening and a Orwellian lexical change. From the term "immigrant" which represented "he who enters a national or geopolitical context different from his own", we move on to the “present participle”, e, Therefore, to “he who is in perpetual migration”.
From a political-systemic point of view the migrant is useful in two fundamental areas:

  • economy, lowering labor costs, thanks to the contradiction between "native" work and "migrant" work, precisely;
  • identity, creating the “uprooted” and spiritually “debased” anthropological type, who has abandoned his family context of reference, community, national, cultural and traditional.

Economic sanctions? Wars under false names

Of Alain de Benoist
Economic sanctions? Wars under false names
Source: Barbadillo
Alain de Benoist, as soon as a country poses a problem, we are now talking about "international sanctions", which are increasingly similar to American sanctions. But what exactly is the meaning and legitimacy of this sanctions policy?
“The policy of sanctions is not a policy. It is a form of warfare that uses only “peaceful” means to blur the line between war and peace. Just like the block, whose sanctions constitute the modern form, this war is similar to maritime warfare, still favored by the thalassocratic powers – England once, the United States today – which is also a trade or economic war: the “war on trade”, formerly known as the “race war”. It's a "total" war, not only because it rejects the classic distinction between combatants and non-combatants, but also because it is more often based on a “right” theory of war, which equates the enemy to a criminal or delinquent. The Forgers of the New Science

Of Roberto Pecchioli
The Forgers of the New Science
Source: Heretically
We know well the level of manipulation reached by contemporary culture and communication, dominated by a few giants, property of the planetary economic and financial oligarchy. Likewise, we have become convinced of the ideological falsification of the so-called human sciences, at the service of an anthropology interested in creating the new man, the fluid and generally transgender consumer. It is clear that many disciplines that deal with sensitive topics such as gender, sexuality, psychoanalysis, racial identities are the terrain of authentic evildoers who have occupied the academic level doing political activism, ideology, certainly not culture and much less science.
Nonetheless, reality surpasses fantasy; one is left speechless when reading the incredible background of an article published in the "prestigious" American magazine Gender, Place and Culture. These are dog parks, apparently innocent places where man's best friend can run around safe and happy, play and have fun. According to a study signed by Dr. Helen Wilson of a mysterious Portland Ungendering Initiative, the reality is much more sinister. Dog parks, he claims, they are places completely pervaded by an oppressive and heteropatriarchal culture aimed at violating nature, where innocent animals are oppressed as a direct reflection of sexist violence, structural in our society. Mattarella should defend us from European attacks

Of FRANCESCO STORACE
President, you make us feel Italian? You can make your voice heard against the real scoundrels who every day in Brussels believe they have the right to be able to insult us in a bad way?
It's really becoming a problem to listen to in the morning, afternoon and evening from Tiggi' the discordant word of the European Commissioner Moscovici: “Like the Hungarians – he went so far as to say in a speech at a conference at the OECD headquarters in Paris – the Italians too have opted for a decidedly Eurosceptic and xenophobic government which, on migration and budget issues, is trying to get rid of European obligations”.
But how dare you? It must be the government that defends itself from this nonsense or the head of state will finally feel the need to do so? Read More

West, lo zoo di Babilonia

Of Roberto Pecchioli
West, lo zoo di Babilonia
Source: Heretically
The humanity of the terminal West has found its destiny, become the zoo of Babylon. A fake environment, a theme park, a lush cage where animals are prisoners in a fake forest, deprived of their natural dignity to be exposed to the amazed gaze of a paying crowd moving along established routes, between kiosks, refreshment points and gadgets. The difference with the wild animal zoo is that we become spectators of ourselves. The culture that discovered the concept of person dies for having enthusiastically accepted the zootechnical fate. From primacy over nature, from the certainty of having had the gift of reason and self-awareness to the sad future of a zoological species. Intelligent farmed beasts without the innocence of the animal, This is what we are reduced to.
Alexis de Tocqueville imagined that the idea of equality would be taken to its extreme consequences, combined with the mirage of unlimited freedom, it would have eradicated every other aspiration from the human heart. Almost two centuries after the intuitions of the Norman count, the journey is complete. Freedom has been exchanged for liberation, then with desire, finally with a whim, assumed the postulate of equality as an indisputable value, Western man has set out on the most dangerous path, become a highway with no exits, that of an all-out fight against nature, its laws, its limits. He built a society of disintegration, an oxymoron of which we are witnesses, mostly unaware of the fate of mutants. Read More
