Dijon, Coals, Lavaur, Nimes: in just one week at least four churches were desecrated in France. The trend is increasing, so much so that Father Grosjean on Sunday, a very popular priest in the country, publicly denounced the wave of attacks: «This violence is serious and targets places of worship, oasis of peace for all, wounding Christians in their faith", he stated as reported by Figo.

Yesterday the Notre Dame parish church, to Dijon, it was desecrated by unknown persons, who opened the tabernacle and scattered the consecrated hosts on the ground. The faithful saw the desecration first, entering the church for mass 8 of the morning. «It is with great sadness that priests and faithful discovered what happened this morning», the diocese of Dijon said in a statement yesterday, announcing a mass of reparation.
This is not an isolated case. The church of San Nicola, in Houilles, suffered three acts of vandalism in just ten days: Wednesday 6 February a 19th century statue of the Madonna and Child was «destroyed into a thousand pieces, pulverized", reported the Parisian. In the previous days, Instead, Twice unknown persons threw the cross to the ground. The parish priest made a complaint to the police.

FIRE AND EXCREMENTS ON THE WALLS

Il 6 February, Instead, the tabernacle of the Notre Dame des enfants church in Nîmes was forced and the hosts scattered on the ground. The vandals used excrement to draw a cross on the walls of the church. Also in this case an investigation is underway but the phenomenon, which spread like wildfire throughout France, it's worrying.

ANTI-CHRISTIAN VIOLENCE ON THE RISE

In the 2017 they occurred 878 anti-Christian acts in France, according to the Ministry of the Interior, a slight decrease compared to 949 of the 2016. In the 2018 instead, there was an increase of 13 percent compared to 2017.
