A conference by Marion Marechal was held yesterday at the Oxford Union. Naturally, for the occasion there was no shortage of welcome by a group of students and pseudo-unionists shouting "Le Pen, never again”. The accusation that they made against the young former French deputy was, needless to say, that of being fascist.

Beyond the value (none) what can be given to such expressions that start from a total lack of knowledge of fascism and consequently of anti-fascism, It should be noted that Marion Marechal does not represent a fascist tendency, rather she can be considered as the ideologist of a global conservative and Catholic front. The young Parisian represents the French Right as the vanguard of a social Catholic universalism which is the antithesis of capitalist globalism and monocultural leveling. His tactical defense of populism and his support for the gilet jaunes, which he reiterated yesterday in his speech on British soil, they go precisely in the direction of dismantling those so-called "Europeanist" and globalist elites who are the social threat, moral and spiritual of traditionalist France as well as of the Christian roots of all of Europe.

Marion Marechal, while the protesters in the courtroom shouted, she once again showed herself firm in opposing gay marriage and the genderization of society, asserting that it is not possible to escape the natural framework, if not at the price, absolutely unacceptable, to take away from the State the legitimacy of being able to recognize one form of love rather than another. From this perspective, both the Islamization of France and Europe, is, even more, turbo-capitalist globalism are two weapons that have the same aim which aims at the destruction of the European Christian tradition.

But there is another aspect to it, in our opinion, deserves attention. Marion Marechal, the youngest member to enter the French Parliament (at the time he entered it, In the 2012, he was just twenty-two years old), as is known, after the end of that legislature, she retired from political life and founded a political school last spring, l'ISSEP (Institute of Social Sciences, economic and political) in Lyon. Now it is no longer on the national political scene, left completely in the hands of Aunt Marine, but it is active in political-cultural contexts at an international level where it is invited to intervene on the main issues of current political affairs, first of all that of the ongoing clash between sovereignism and globalism. In February he will stop in Russia, at the University of St. Petersburg and a visit to Bolsonaro's Brazil is also planned.

This operating mode is particularly intelligent and, we also believe, effective. Marion Marechal indeed works for the formation of a European political elite, it therefore operates with the intention of creating a ruling class that has avera political culture, since only with political culture can one build a new European order destroying and transforming at the same time what the elites so far dominant in this wonderful continent have done to create "their" decadent order, materialist and turbo-capitalist. We think that there is no other way of doing politics than this: create political elites, create ruling classes, according to the Platonic-Paretian teaching, not very dissimilar from that of Benedetto Croce – even more so than that of Antonio Gramsci -, which are the only ones who can concretely shape reality, transform it, imprinting the Idea into the material world. This effort of will that Marion Marechal is making in creating a new political class is what the League in Italy is missing today, which undoubtedly, thanks to Salvini's charismatic leadership, is achieving good results but which risk remaining sterile if they are not fertilized by political practice experienced as daily sacrifice and therefore elevated to an ideal.

If in Italy the possible success of the yellow-green government experiment was and is the most terrible fear for the Franco-German globalist elites (and so, Obviously, Anglo-Saxons), we must not forget that France was the terrain in which over the last two and a half centuries the movements or incubations of movements were created which then changed Europe (and consequently the world). So it is in the case of the French Revolution which was itself an incubation, however rectified, of bonapartism; such is the case, as the great historian of fascism Zeev Sternhell masterfully teaches us, of Proudhonism first, then of revolutionary syndicalism with a nationalist imprint, and finally of Maurrassism which were the incubation of the most revolutionary political phenomenon of the 20th century: Italian fascism; and also, ultimately, the case of Gaullism, probably the only post-1945 political experience with an authentic pro-European vocation.

If France is then, as we believe, the womb and cradle of the new European order, Marion Marechal will have the burden and honor of being the Vestal Virgin of this new Idea of ​​Europe?

In any case, a neo-traditionalist France as Marion Marechal imagines it would be the natural ally of a conservative Italy and Spain like the one that Salvini and Vox with the allied Popular Party imagine; as I have already specified (link 1 http://webtv.camera.it/evento/13538 ; link 2 https://www.agerecontra.it/tag/giacomo-bergamaschi/ ) Fascism is revolutionary and traditionalist at the same time, so those who contested Marion Marechal as a French fascist yesterday outside the Oxford Union are wrong because she is simply a traditionalist. A traditionalist without revolution is essentially a right-wing conservative.
