There is no peace for Macron: yellow vests still in the streets

France is a powder keg. While i yellow vests they continue to demonstrate against Emmanuel Macron, il terror descends on the country with shots fired by Cherif Chekkat, an extremist who allegedly acted to avenge his “brothers in Syria”. A country on the edge of the precipice, as many analysts have defined it, which can now implode.
In his speech to the nation, the French president has proposed various initiatives to satisfy the demonstrators. Initiatives that, but, they essentially represent a bluff, since they were already in Macron's program, as he explained Le Figaro. This is why the yellow vests are still protesting, and on Saturday they will still be in the square, despite the president of the French National Assembly Richard Ferrand asking the demonstrators to stop.

Also because in the meantime the Elysée has announced that it wants to organize a "great national citizen debate" to resolve the crisis. In this way, a statement released by the government specifies that "every Frenchman will be allowed to bear his testimony, to express their expectations and propose solutions". Five topics proposed by the Elysée: environmental transition, taxation, public services, democratic debate and immigration. Precisely this last point for Macron is fundamental to "get the nation to agree with itself on the meaning of its profound identity". Not by chance, in his farewell speech, former Interior Minister Gèrard Collomb warned the president by saying: “I went to all these neighborhoods – to Marseille, in Toulouse, Aulnay, Sevran - and the situation is very degraded and the term 'republican reconquest' makes sense here because in these neighborhoods today the law of the strongest applies, that of drug traffickers and radical Islamists, who took the place of the Republic".

Who will help Macron?

In his speech to the nation, Macron has promised to increase the minimum wage for the French and to reduce tax on overtime. Furthermore, appealing to businesses, asked to grant tax-free bonuses for workers. But how to do it concretely? Certainly surpassing the 3% and then looking for new sources in the French economic players, who were received at the Elysée.
As reported by theAgi, "the Orange groups, Publicis, Altice, Iliad, Dry, LVMH have instead confirmed their willingness to pay an end-of-year bonus to French employees, that will go from 500 to a thousand euros. Total has committed to proceeding with a global increase in remuneration for the 3,1% and the awarding of an exceptional prize of 1500 euros for personnel active in France". Small and medium-sized enterprises will instead have a more marginal role, who do not have large capitals to contribute to the national socio-economic effort requested by Macron.

The yellow vests still in the streets (in the blood)

The measures proposed by Macron were considered poor by the yellow vests who therefore decided to continue demonstrating. This night, a protester of 23 years old he was hit and killed by a truck not far from the Avignon motorway exit. It is the sixth victim since the protests began.

The domestic front is becoming more complicated for Macron. Threatened by street protests and the nightmare of Islamic terrorism.
