Communism and Antiracism: if not now synonymous, However, they are two terms that lately conveniently go hand in hand. But how much do the comrades really know their cultural roots? Listening to the talk going around or reading some hysterical tweet, I'd say not much. On the contrary, I would say not at all.
With today's article we will move away for a moment from the sphere of right-wing philosophy and thought to immerse ourselves in the strange communist world, flowery on the outside and genocidal on the inside, going to discover those statements by Marx and Engels that would make even the most hardened of xenophobes tremble. The hope is that someone can finally change their minds about the genuineness of communism and the unconditional goodness of its "values", understanding how false the communism-anti-racism connection is.
To understand what follows, a fundamental premise must be made: per Marx, communism could only have established itself once capitalism had reached its peak, with the collapse of the latter under its own weight. The first type of racism is therefore shown towards all those peoples defined as "counter-revolutionary", that is, peoples who, due to culture or technological backwardness, were still tied to pseudo-feudal models, thus not allowing capitalism to spread and therefore, consequentially, removing the possibility of the realization of the communist dystopia.

The first insult is hurled against Russi, Czechs and Balkans, which in the collection of articles "The Russian threat in Europe" are identified as "ethnic waste". And how to behave when faced with ethnic waste, if not wishing for their genocide? In the 1848 (year of publication of the Manifesto), in the magazine “Nuova Gazzetta Renana”, financed by Engels, the philosopher from Trier predicted that "Slavic rabble" and other "retrograde races" would have the "immediate task" of "perishing in the revolutionary storm of the world": “the future world war will make not only the reactionary classes and dynasties disappear from the face of the earth, but entire reactionary populations. And this will be progress.". Exactly: genocide as progress, this is one of the values ​​for which masses of tolerant, peaceful and enlightened communists take to the streets more or less every weekend. But how could you have healthy racism without targeting Jews and blacks? Don't be afraid, from the height of their love Marx and Engels spare neither of these two categories.
If Africans are repeatedly described as "idiots", “inferior savages” or even “congenitally incapable of understanding mathematics”, it is in Marx's letter to Engels of 30 July 1862 that reach unimaginable heights: talking about the German Ferdinand Lassalle, this is what is stated: “It now seems absolutely clear to me that, as demonstrated by both the shape of his head and the structure of his hair, descends from the Blacks who took part in Moses' escape from Egypt (unless his mother or grandmother on the paternal side had hybridization with a negro) […], the indiscretion with which he comes forward is also typically black. The Jewish black guy, an oily Jew who disguises himself by slicking himself up and decking himself out in cheap junk. Now this mixture of Judaism and Germanism with a black background must give a bizarre product!» (Cfr. Sostanzialmente l’articolo potrebbe anche interrompersi qui, ma l’odio razziale dei due comunisti è una miniera così inesauribile di volgarità che sarebbe quasi un crimine non sfruttarlo più a fondo. Perhaps, in the face of an ideology so twisted as to deny the very nature of the individual and man, coherence is also lacking. Going to conclude, in light of all this, an event from a few years ago is monstrously out of place, following the publication of Heidegger's first “Black Notebooks”.. The international impact of the German's diaries was impressive: suddenly the philosopher, absolute giant of the twentieth century and of the history of world philosophical thought, he was backed into a corner because of his obvious anti-Semitism. The stakes were and still are very high, given that there are many intellectuals who would like to condemn Heidegger to damnatio memoriae by having his works disappear from every library, from every university and from the history of humanity itself. We all agree that hatred towards a certain race or category is widely condemnable, but have you ever heard the people in the square loudly and globally acclaim the elimination of communism and its doctrine from the history of human thought? For what strange reason should the Marx-Engel couple be able to be racist and anti-Semitic at will and with impunity?, while for other authors for these same reasons only oblivion is reserved?
The answer is obvious and, frankly, it's also starting to get repetitive: as usual, speaking of the left, “two burdens, two measures".
