Torino: the rainbow priorities of the M5S
We report yet another initiative by the Grillina council of Turin in the name of the denial of every natural and Christian principle.
The first social housing for LGBT people in difficulty is born
Young people removed from their families due to their sexual orientation will be welcomed, lonely and poor elderly people, trans people discriminated against in access to housing, persecuted refugees
A house to find temporary shelter that is also protection and from which one can enter or re-enter an autonomous life with the dignity of rights: it is the «TO HOUSING» project, social co-housing for LGBT people promoted by the Quore Association with the collaboration of public and private partners. It is no coincidence that the first experience with these characteristics in Italy was born in Turin, leading city in the battles for the conquest of gay rights, lesbians, bisexuals, transgender: TO HOUSING will be able to accommodate 24 guests in 5 ATC owned apartments- Territorial Housing Agency of Central Piedmont not intended for public housing rankings.
The objective of TO HOUSING is to reach out to people in difficulty and in conditions of extreme vulnerability: Boys (18-26 years) estranged from their families because of their sexual orientation, elderly people alone and without family support, homosexual migrants and refugees, transsexual and transgender people discriminated against in access to housing, people in sudden housing emergency.

 
TO HOUSING has been thought of, In short, for all those who experience a condition of double discrimination - sexual orientation, ethnic origin, age, social condition - and are in a condition of poverty and/or social exclusion. «From this perspective, ensuring a safe place to live represents an opportunity to embark on a path out of hardship and towards social and work inclusion», explains Alessandro Battaglia, president of the Quore Association, who oversaw the project over many years. «The new project – said Marcello Mazzù, president of ATC – was born in the former Italgas subsidized housing complex in Corso Farini, already a laboratory for the reception of people in various difficulties through the entrusting of accommodation to associations".
A team made up of educators, psychologists and assistants
social will examine the reports, will carry out the first interview and evaluate guest access (which may also arrive from other provinces and other regions). The expected average length of stay is 8 months and may possibly be extended to complete the users' independence journey).
