Blitz by the communists in the cinema showing the film on the foibe

The case in Pordenone. The Communist Party distributes justificationist leaflets at the end of the screening of the film Red Land – Rosso Istria which tells the story of the foibe.
There is no less constructive criticism than that dictated by political hatred. Ideological envy is a feeling that distances us from reality and common sense.
It is similar to a fever with hallucinations. And then it can happen that one loses control and when faced with the rape and humiliation of a defenseless girl, someone even comes to think: “Beh, "She was a fascist.".
That girl is Norma Cossetto that a 22 years she was massacred by Marshal Tito's partisans for not having renounced her Italian identity. A few days ago the film that tells his story (Red Land – Red Istria) he landed at Cinema Zero Of Pordenone sending a small group of nostalgics of Yugoslavian communism into a rage. The reason? The film is not sufficiently filled with the classic clichés of resistance mythology and the partisans do not play the part of heroes but of butchers. The dynamics of the incident were denounced by the regional councilor of Fratelli d'Italia Alessandro Basso from his profile Facebook: “On the occasion of the screening of Red Land – writes the councilor – the self-styled Communist Party was guilty of the infamy of handing over a flyer which reports undeniable historical falsehoods”.

In the “comrades” leaflet Norma is accused of being “a fascist, exponent of the fascist university youth and daughter of Giuseppe Cossetto, secretary of the Fascio of the Municipality of Santa Domenica di Visinada and former mayor of that Municipality". As if to insinuate, not even very covertly, that the poor girl deserved all the harm they did to her. A concept that becomes more explicit in the following lines. In light of the "massacres carried out by fascists against the Yugoslav population", Indeed, whoever wrote the flyer wonders: “It's so strange if there were some revenges afterwards?”. Someone. Sold. Which all add up to around 11 thousand victims. But for the Red Star fanatics, Red Land "is a pure propaganda film" where "historical facts are fictionalized" and "the image of the partisans is denigrated".
In the meantime, councilor Basso has announced that he will contact the competent authorities "to evaluate any possible crime, ascribed to the most extreme ignorance and the explicit desire to sow hatred and disbelief". This is why the response of the institutions must above all be "cultural", Basso underlines, which is already working to project Red Land in the schools of Pordenone.
