Paul Craig Roberts – World War III is approaching

http://vocidallestero.it/ di Paul Craig Roberts (FORMER US GOVERNMENT MEMBER OF DONALD REAGAN)

In a recent article Paul Craig Roberts returns to talk about World War III, accusing Russia of being too cowardly towards aggressive US policy: in the desire to be recognized as part of the West, According to Roberts, Russia never gets the job done, but it always leaves a window open to the USA, hoping to curry favor with them, while effectively giving Washington another round to prevail in the conflict that Washington has started. This is what happened in Syria, where the war risks rekindling, and in Ukraine. And in the meantime, the escalation of propaganda continues in the West: not a day goes by without Russia being accused of cyber-attacks, interference in the elections of Western countries, even subversion of democracy. And with the Skripal case a new leap in quality has been made, coming close to accusing her of state terrorism. In short, what seems like a preparation by Western public opinion for the Third World War that Roberts fears.
Of Paul Craig Roberts, 13 March 2018
“In a nuclear conflict, the 'collateral damage' would be the end of all humanity” – Fidel Castro
The Russians, eager to show the West how friendly they are, they let Washington get a foot in the door in Syria, and Washington is using it to restart the war. Russian failure to finish the job has left Washington as foreign mercenaries, whom the American paid press passes off as "freedom fighters", in the Syrian enclave. For the war to start again, Washington must find a way to help its mercenaries.

The Trump regime has found it, or so he thinks, his justification for returning to the Obama regime's false accusation of Syria's use of chemical weapons. This lie, invented from scratch by the Obama regime, was silenced by Russia's intervention, who assured that there were no Syrian chemical weapons. Indeed, if memory serves us, Russia handed over chemical weapons to the US to be destroyed. There is little doubt that Washington still has them and will use some of them, with their Syrian markings, in what appears to be an imminent false flag attack for which Assad may be blamed. In other words, Washington will create a 'critical moment', he will blame Assad and Putin, and – with or without the authorization of Congress – the American intervention will begin on behalf of its mercenaries.
If we can believe James Mattis, the retired US Marine general who is Secretary of Defense, Syria, a country without chemical weapons and which does not need them in its combing operations against Washington's mercenaries, is using chlorine gas “against his own people”, exactly the same phrase used by the Obama regime when it attempted to orchestrate a justification for the attack in Syria. Mattis said he is receiving reports of Assad's use of chlorine gas, while at the same time claiming that there is no evidence of the use of gas, even less by the Syrian army.
The Secretary of Defense actually accused Syria of “targeting hospitals” with chlorine gas, although he admits there is no evidence. Mattis went on to accuse Russia of complicity in the killing of civilians, a feat at which the US excels. Read More

The dictatorship of the present

Of Roberto Pecchioli
The dictatorship of the present
Source: Heretically
Ours is an era of false democracy, abstract freedoms and concrete dictatorships. One of these, the most surprising, it is the supremacy of the present, a real dictatorship of the present time. The sole materialist thought knows and idolizes exclusively what belongs to today, and is therefore modern. On other occasions, we have noted that the word modernity means nothing other than "in today's way". It is a term that has always been used with reference to the present, but without emphasis, the positive and idolatrous charge by which he has been surrounded for half a century now. Today's programmatic superiority over yesterday, postulated and implied as evident, it is in fact one of the thousand poisoned fruits of the toxic season that we call Sixty-Eight. Since then, everything boiled down to current events, at the moment, dragging every culture, dresser, costume, history before the grotesque tribunal of the Eternal Present. Strange court indeed, devoid of spatial or territorial jurisdiction, but exclusively temporal with a pre-established deadline at the end of the current day. The next day inevitably drags the present into the past, depriving it of importance; a spell that dissolves at the stroke of midnight, like Cinderella's. A dictatorship that is continually reborn with the new day, a Phoenix that regenerates from its own ashes: fast girl resurgo, since what is valid today is modern and the sun rises every morning. The most obvious victim is the past, burdened by negative prejudice, accused of obscurity and backwardness, but the present, despite the other current myth, that of progress, it also destroys the future. Italy is Putin's enemy due to one-way Atlantic solidarity

Of Alberto Negri
Italy is Putin's enemy due to one-way Atlantic solidarity
Source: Alberto Negri

Why Italy should wage a cold war on Russia? One of the most worn refrains of international politics that can be read in the Italian press at the moment, after the obvious re-election of Putin to the Russian presidency and the Skripal case, it's called "Atlantic solidarity". But for Italy what does it consist of?? Military terms this: ours is the NATO country with the most American nuclear devices in Europe even if it does not manage them directly, beyond 70, of which 20 in the Ghedi base e 50 in Aviano. Among the warheads there are also thermonuclear bombs with the power of 50 kilotons whose presence constitutes the reason for a hypothetical preventive attack in the event of nuclear conflict.

If we then move on to politics, the so-called "Atlantic solidarity" has paradoxical aspects for Italy. US nukes in Italy, such as the bases or "facilities" of the American armed forces, they are almost always a taboo topic for Italian politicians, even for those who have just won the elections: it is never talked about because Washington's approval of a leader or a party remains a fundamental aspect. Sigonella's shadow, with the clash in 1985 between Craxi and Reagan's United States on the fate of the hijackers of the Achille Lauro ship, it remains as a sort of warning: sooner or later the bills with Washington will be paid. Nobody wants to disturb the NATO handler, (to which Donald Trump would like Europeans to contribute more). Even when the driver doesn't exactly have our interests in mind: the former chief of staff Vincenzo Camporini also said it some time ago when France, USA and Great Britain decided in 2011 to bomb Libya Gaddafi without even making a phone call. We remember that at the time Russia abstained on the UN resolution that started the bombings: “If we had not granted the Italian bases for their planes, the bombing operations would have been longer and more difficult”. So, is the general's reasoning, opposing it was technically possible, instead we also joined the raids with a decision essentially taken by the former head of state Giorgio Napolitano. As for Libya, Italy has seen very little of "Atlantic and European solidarity".: tens of billions lost, hundreds of thousands of refugees while the immigration issue was decisive in determining the new political framework. In short, Salvini and Di Maio also owe their votes in part to the failure of this "Atlantic solidarity" (and European), that Italy has never seen, on the contrary. Read More

Le "trame" of power

Of Danilo Quinto

Dearest Friends, Dear Readers,

last 22 February, at the hearing for the defamation trial brought by the radicals for the words “foolish servant”, written in cursive in a book of 6 years ago, after the examination of a witness in my defense, a new charge has been formulated, which concerns another sentence in the book. Defense terms and conditions were asked 18 the next hearing will be held in June.

I am more and more convinced, in my misery as a sinner, that in our lives we must respond with good to the evil we receive, we must pray for our persecutors, we must want their good, even if they continue to hurt us. This is the gift of Grace, that we must cultivate in ourselves, cling to the Cross of Our Lord Jesus Christ. With courage. Without any fear. Enduring and blessing those who inflict suffering on us. Christ asks us for perfection in this earthly life, He asks us to imitate Him, to accept everything and abandon ourselves only to His will. He knows how to caress us in pain and we must be certain that he never abandons us. Whatever happens, He is always beside us.

Anyone who wants to participate with a donation in my defense and my battle for freedom and truth, you can do it using my wife's cc:

Putin wins the elections by a landslide, and from today its decline begins

Image

Report Linkiesta

Valdimir Putin won the elections by a landslide, and it would be good for the West to take it, finally, seriously. But the mandate that is inaugurated risks being one of decadence for him

I wonder if Vladimir Putin sulked about this 75% of the votes collected in the election that sent him to the Kremlin for the fourth time. After all, it is a figure much lower than the approval rating, according to the authoritative and reliable Levada Center, accompanied him throughout 2017, well above 80%. Jokes aside, now we will hear the usual litany: but there was no Navalnyj, but the turnout, but the frauds… There will be some truth but nothing substantial. Because we should also prepare ourselves to swallow the fact that many Russians like Putin. So many that Putin would be elected president even if he didn't enjoy a media monopoly, even if the factory managers did not incite the workers to go and vote, even if he had real politicians as his opponents and not scraps (including the absent Navalnyj) of this round, even if he didn't have so much power that the very idea of an election campaign would be considered humiliating.
It seems strange to us but it can happen. For example if become prime minister in 1999, that is, a few months after your country declared itself insolvent and suffered the pillory of default and in 2017 you can declare that you have paid off all the debts of the USSR. If you become president for the first time when the GDP per capita of Russians is 1.300 dollars and you come back as president for the fourth time when the same GDP is almost at 12 mila. If in 2015, between Ukraine, sanctions and collapse of oil prices, the experts predict that everything will fall apart at your place and instead it doesn't happen. And so on.
This very obvious re-election is Putin's apotheosis. His triumph. Nevertheless, right now, the Turkish proverb that Thomas Mann had one of his Buddenbrooks quote comes to mind: “When the house is finished, death comes”. For goodness sake, Putin is in excellent health and has only 65 years. But the fourth presidency risks being, for him and for the Russia he represents, the most difficult of all.

The "moderate rebels" of Ghouta

Of Thierry Meyssan
The "moderate rebels" of Ghouta
Source: Voltairenet
The Western media asserts that, in Eastern Ghouta, Syria and Russia are destroying valiant defenders of democracy.
According to the governments of the United Kingdom and France, these are three distinct armed groups: the Army of Islam, the Rahman Legion and Ahrar el-Sham.
According to Syria and Russia instead, the names of these three groups do not designate a different ideology. These three groups would not actually each defend their own ideas on Syria, but rather the interests of the respective sponsors. They would unite through the resolution 2401 and the attack they are now undergoing.
There is a lot of data circulating on the number of soldiers of each of these groups and on the number of inhabitants of eastern Ghouta. In reality these are unverifiable figures, so much so that the UN has given up on quantifying them. There is no doubt that the civilians of Ghouta are Syrians, however, there is no certainty of the nationality of the fighters. Surely some of them are Syrians, often prejudiced, many others are foreigners (who by definition cannot be classified as "rebels"). Even in this case these are unverifiable estimates.
Only two things are known for certain about these groups:
– First of all, we know what weapons he had at his disposal in 2015 the Army of Islam. It's an outdated fact, however verifiable thanks to the video of a military parade, organized in 2015 in Ghouta by the leader of the group, in which four armored vehicles and approximately 2.000 men, that is, a number of fighters ten times lower than claimed. Beyond the lonely crowd. We need to return to the intermediate bodies

Beyond the lonely crowd. We need to return to the intermediate bodies
Source: Mario Bozzi Trails
The paths to freedom and political participation are long and complicated. Not only because of a weak and botched electoral law. The crisis of representation in our country and - upon closer inspection - throughout Europe has profound features, which go far beyond mere political data. It is certainly an institutional and cultural crisis, social and economic. But above all it is the crisis of a collective identity model, to whom, willy-nilly, Western society has conformed, today forced to deal with her "solitude", with the loss of places to meet, of ideal constraints, of shared expectations, of those "intermediate bodies" which for centuries have been essential places of intermediation and political and social participation. To lift the veil of misunderstandings and silences on this underlying crisis, reported, until yesterday, from a minority culture, considered , with contempt, “out of date”, it has arrived now, on the front page of the “Corriere della sera”, Pierluigi Battista. Vain, angry and a fan of Stalin. Controritratto del "mito" Pertini

Vain, angry and a fan of Stalin. Controritratto del "mito" Pertini

Of Marcello Veneziani

Ah, Sandro Pertini, the president of the republic most loved by Italians. The people's president, of children, the cartoon with the pipe, the partisan president who abandons the protocol. The Impertinent. The Pure. Forty years after his election to the Quirinale, in a celebratory deluge, A hagiographic film about him will be released tomorrow at the cinema. We would like to integrate the holy card by telling the story of the other Pertini.
Upon Stalin's death in 1953, comrade Pertini, former pro-Soviet director of Avanti! and at the time the leader of the socialist group celebrated the dictator in Parliament. Here's what he said in Avanti!: «Comrade Stalin ended his day well, even if too early for us and for the fate of the world. His last word was peace. (…) One is amazed by the size of this figure… Men of every creed, friends and adversaries, must today recognize the immense stature of Joseph Stalin. He is a giant of history and his memory will never fade.". That praise, never retracted by Pertini, not even after all Stalin's crimes became known, it does not honor a fighter for freedom and the rights of peoples. Read More
