An accusation to which the local Episcopal Conference reacted by warning that it is an attack on the entire Church. Emblematic, in this sense, the words of the bishop of San Filippo, Monsignor Victor Hugo Basabe, who rebuked those who still do not understand how «the fundamental cause of Venezuela's woes is the persistence of an economic model, political and social that denies God and therefore human dignity».

The point, in this whole affair, but it is that not even Juan Guaidó seems to be that leader of mirrored virtue which – in the face of new basic freedoms that it could guarantee, now absent in the country tyrannized by Maduro – could guarantee real well-being for Venezuela. For a whole series of reasons. For starters because it is evidently a character attributable to the not exactly reassuring world of the lodges.
