That Abu Mazen's statements (the Jews would be somehow responsible for the Shoah) are unacceptable, as he immediately declared, among others, also the European Union, there's no need to even say it. One wonders though, as a reader of Il Fatto did (27.4), Mauro Chiostri, talking about today and not about the codified yesterday, whether the State of Israel does not enjoy a special safe conduct based precisely on the Jewish extermination of three-quarters of a century ago. It's a question, for the truth, which many people do but which they do not dare to express publicly for fear of being immediately branded as anti-Semitic, deniers, racists, Nazis. But Israel is a state and should not be confused with the international Jewish community. In less Manichaean years than the ones we are currently experiencing, it was the Jewish community itself that did not want such confusion to arise. And it was logical that this should be the case. Because Israel is a state and, as such, can perform objectionable actions, and even nefarious, but that doesn't mean he has to answer for it, let's say, a Jew from the Rome ghetto. Today, however, this confusion exists and Israel can carry out acts with impunity that would cost other states indignant condemnation, if not worse, of the so-called 'international community'.
1.During the popular demonstrations of the last month and a half in Gaza, the Israeli military has killed 44 people and have them injured 1.400. UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres had called for an independent investigation into the deaths in Gaza. But Israel rejected it. Yet requests of this kind were accepted even by Assad, in his time, and Saddam Hussein. The Israeli army may be "the most virtuous in the world" as Netanyahu claims but it certainly has a very easy trigger.
2. The other day Benjamin Netanyahu, live on TV, with the maximum possible media exposure, accused Iran of having lied about its nuclear program and of preparing at least four or five atomic bombs of the same power as those that the Americans dropped on Hiroshima and, three days later, su Nagasaki. He also claimed to be in possession of more 55 thousands of pages of documents that prove it. And he immediately found support in his lifelong friend, the United States. In reality, it is Netanyahu himself who is telling lies that were immediately denied by the IAEA (International Atomic Energy Agency) whose inspectors travel between Vienna and Tehran and have always found that in Iranian plants the enrichment of uranium does not exceed 20% which is what is needed for energy uses, civilians and nuclear doctors (to get to the atomic bomb the enrichment must be of 90%). This is the IAEA statement, on the subject, it is the most authoritative source given that its inspectors carry out field checks: “We have no credible indication of activity in Iran related to the development of a nuclear device after 2009”.
It's grotesque, if it wasn't disturbing, than a state like Israel, which did not sign the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, who has the Bomb, even if he doesn't say it but, for good measure, let it be known, you accuse another, Iran, that this Treaty has signed and has always accepted IAEA inspections.
But even if Iran, purely hypothetical, if it wanted to go nuclear it wouldn't be a scandal surrounded as it is by nuclear powers like Israel itself, Pakistan and not far away India. The Atomic, it's obvious, it only serves as a deterrent, as logic says and also the example of the Korean dictator who saved himself simply by demonstrating that he had it and, on the contrary, the cases of Saddam Hussein and Muammar Gaddafi who were eliminated causing the Middle Eastern and Libyan chaos that we all have before our eyes.
3. The Israelis have carried out a dozen missile raids on Iranian positions in Syria. The last two, last Sunday night, they provoked at least 40 victims. Of course the Iranian militias are outside their territory under the pretext of fighting ISIS which has become the passepartout for all sorts of atrocities, Turkish, Russian, American and, precisely, Iranian. But Israel has the right to intervene? Let's make the opposite hypothesis. What would happen if Iranian missiles hit hypothetical Israeli positions outside their territory? The end of the world. The condemnation and indignation would be unanimous and the retaliation, economic and military, immediate. Instead, with Israel they remain silent, you pretend not to see, of not knowing.
4. Dal 1946 There are hundreds of UN resolutions that Israel has not respected. Evidently, he was paid by the laws. How long must this safe conduct last, as reader Mauro Chiostri writes, “speculates on the drama of the Shoah while also lacking respect for the innocent victims who suffered it”?
